Whatever 09-06-2004 07:28 PM
Has anyone seen that LEGENDS collection infomercial? It was hosted by Roger Daltrey.

A 7 CD collection of the greatist classic rock of the 60's and 70's. It looked pretty good.
i saw it. it was right after another infomercial with some famous guitarist (santana?) selling a $50 acoustic guitar.

HendrixDoorsWhoZeppelin 09-06-2004 07:32 PM

It wasn't santana, it was this other hispanic guitarist. He had less hair than Santana.

Whatever 09-06-2004 07:34 PM

yeah, i didn't think it was santana.

MalcolmYoungRock 09-06-2004 08:34 PM

It was that guy that used a 20 dollar guitar or something...

whats his name...

Grammar Fuhrer 09-06-2004 09:03 PM

Esteban! That's who he is..I think...
AC/DC are to complex what Coldplay are to speed metal. Although their music is some good stuff, and I'd love to see them live. Those dates with the Rolling Stones must have been incredible in terms of rock anthems.
I saw them with the stones (and the isley brothers, The tea party, Jeff Healy, Rush, BTO, etc etc) They were awesome live. :thumb:
Does anyone have the Paul McCartney: Back In The USA DVD?
Who cares if I own it (I do) but I SAW it.

Well, not the LA one in the DVD, but in Portland.

Holy crap, that is the sweetest concert I will ever go to in my life. Being a hardcore Beatles fan is one thing, but this was so sweet. The pyrotechnics in Live and Let Die were much bigger then the lame thing they had on the DVD (probably California-only regs) and Maybe I'm Amazed was so **** magical.

Great concert. I saw PAUL! Yay!

Btw the drummer was awesome.

It seems you had a good time and maybe I will have to track down a copy of the DVD.

I wanted to see that...

Sounds awesome though. The original Sabbath Lineup.

I could have gotten free tickets if i donated blood.

Hell its a win win situation.

I get high off morphine :thumb: and i get to see Sabbath live!

?

Since when do you get morphine for donating blood?

MalcolmYoungRock 09-07-2004 11:45 AM

Oh, painkillers... or something...

I DONT KNOW!!!

Paranoidd 09-07-2004 11:47 AM

Ha, dude you don't get anything. You get a needle in the arm. Why do you think people don't give blood?

Jeez, if they gave me morphine, they could pump me dry all day long.

MalcolmYoungRock 09-07-2004 11:49 AM

Eh, but what if you got tickets to a sabbath concert?

Paranoidd 09-07-2004 11:50 AM

I'd do it for that. Definitely.

BludgeonySteve 09-07-2004 11:52 AM
Eh, but what if you got tickets to a sabbath concert?
Then I would go. But i'd much rather just listen to them. Without the crazy idiot fans.

MalcolmYoungRock 09-07-2004 01:10 PM

True. Good ol studio versions.

you could get the live album so you could still get the liveness without all the crazy idiot fans

Did he play some blues jam with this fat guy with glasses? If so, I don't think it was Santana. But it was pretty funny.

jpj 09-07-2004 02:02 PM

the guys name was esteban. ive seen that god **** thing like six times. and he did play with a fat guy with glasses

Paranoidd 09-07-2004 02:03 PM

No it was definitely Esteban.

By the way, I know he is definitely not classic rock, but do any of you guys listen to Beck? I'm listening to the Mutations album right now and I'm picking up such a classic vibe of it...check it out if you've never heard.

It's almost like Dylan/Reed/Beatles

Wow...I'm so feeling this album right now. It is seriously inspiring me. Too bad my guitar broke :(

Broken Arrow 09-07-2004 02:37 PM

Ok heres a questoin we've all been waiting for........................Who is your favourite Beatle?

Broken Arrow 09-07-2004 02:38 PM

All go first, George Harrison

<-------------Gene Hackman

Blackdog8901 09-07-2004 03:20 PM

Mine's George too

stalk the ground 09-07-2004 03:23 PM

George wrote some of the best Beatles songs, but overall I'd have to go with Paul.

Paranoidd 09-07-2004 03:26 PM

John.

Cliche, I know, but he owns.

Woodstock 09-07-2004 03:32 PM

Hmmm....lets see
