Auberge le Mouton Noir 11-23-2006 02:27 PM

I have an offer, from york, AAB for physics

I have a cambridge interview onthe 13th

I just did my driving thoeyr test and got 35/35 for the multiple choice, 49/75 for hazards

Patrick O))) 11-23-2006 02:37 PM

York's ace for a night out :thumb:

Would that be to York St John? My friend Dav's there

Apparently at Oxbridge interviews they do stuff like have the aplicant's chair facing the other way, and only a few people even attempt to turn it to ace the interviewers, which they mark you up for doing.

Apparently. Old wive's tales ftw

Oh no they're sadistic bastards who do all kinds of stuff like that

There is one time where a guy walks through the door and gets an orange thrown at him

he catches it and neither of them nention it again for the whole interview

so he leaves it on the desk

Untitled 11-23-2006 02:57 PM

yeah, ive heard they do stupid stuff.

I need to decided where im gonna do my full degree at. Only being on a foundation course now and the such.

Either MMU, where im at, and loving it, or go to leeds, or to Glasgow.

I dunoooo.

trysthedrummer 11-23-2006 03:01 PM

well i was like "what do you mean, hazard developping?" and maybe only clicked when the hazard materialised

like if a car signals to pull out and then pulls out then that's not new data

trysthedrummer 11-23-2006 03:43 PM

I know, I think the hazard perception is pretty crap tbh

On some of the practice clips I used to do, there was like a half second gap between 5 and 4 points, and that began when the first inch of a car came on the screen and pulled out

Untitled 11-23-2006 04:17 PM

I need to book my theory, i cant be arsed, but im read to be put in for my practical, i left it to late to do lol.

I cant wait to pass my test, just so i don't have to pay money for lessons any more, Its not like ill be driving afterwards, i really cannot afford that.

Y'know it's only spelt 'Leeds' because 'L>>ds' can't be pronounced.

Fact.

Don't listen to him Zo >:-/

But, its a known fact, that on the 6th day, god created MANchester

Patrick O))) 11-23-2006 05:15 PM

 for some reason that reminded me of a poster one of the teachers in my catholic primary school had up in her class (bearing in mind that it was well known this teacher was a lesbian):

'First God created man, then He created woman. The prototype is always inferior to the finished product.'

:-/

In other news, does this make sense, and do you agree?
Typically the goal of the performer/composer behind the work is to achieve an aesthetically pleasing and creatively satisfying piece of music, but as with any art form, the finished product is open to interpretation by its audience. Therefore only the self-indulgent musician can be certain they have achieved their goals.
I'm doing an essay plan on "Discuss the ambiguities, problems and tensions that exist in the term ‘popular music’.", and this is in my introduction bit. I'm not sure I'm convinced by it, and I need a second opinion
