Ship me some Mongolian Beef.

Pronto.

jpj 12-22-2005 10:11 PM
I'm afraid they do.

They don't and if they did I probably wouldn't work there. I must say its damn near impossible to understand those Chinese accents though.
There's a Chinese place downtown and whenever they talk or ask a question I just kinda a nod and go "uh huh" because I don't have a God damn clue what they're saying.

Woodstock 12-22-2005 10:18 PM

Safe As Milk is pretty good. Paul Butterfield is great as usual. Taj Mahal is bluesy.

All very in depth conclusions I reached after listening to the albums. Thank you.

Krabsworth 12-22-2005 10:20 PM

Anyone have any early Fleetwood Mac? I really want to hear Peter Green.

Glitterati 12-22-2005 10:54 PM

I love Chinese food.

Anyone here listen to Brian Setzer/Stray Cuts? I love rockabilly, so I'm a Brian Setzer fan.

jpj 12-22-2005 11:00 PM

I like Brian Setzer. My dad is a big fan and he used to always have a Setzer CD playing in the car. I got him the Brian Setzer Christmas DVD...for Christmas.

PinkFreud 12-22-2005 11:15 PM

JonG 12-22-2005 11:28 PM

I'm sittin' here thinking about perfect albums.

I can come up with three. On The Beach, Loaded and Workingman's Dead.

Opinions, adjustments?

jpj 12-22-2005 11:30 PM

EAT A PEACH!

I agree with Workingman's Dead, haven't heard Loaded, or all of On the Beach.

PinkFreud 12-22-2005 11:49 PM

i agree with loaded but disagree with the other 2 simply because i dont like them as much as i like other stuff. haha. i may edit in my choices but chances are, people wont like them.

edit: to emh, you shouldve fool! fool!

pinkfreud's perfect albums:
jeff buckley - grace
jeff beck - blow by blow
death cab for cutie (!) - transatlanticism
bob dylan - blood on the tracks
the allman brothers - eat a peach
the grateful dead - american beauty
minutemen - double nickels on the dime
manic street preachers - the holy bible
miles davis - a tribute to jack johnson
weezer - pinkerton

those are perfect to me. lay off.

Glitterati 12-22-2005 11:59 PM

I saw Loaded for $6.99 yesterday. I told myself, "I shouldn't buy this, it's a few days from Christmas." Now I'm kicking myself because I totally should have gotten it :(

Leper 12-23-2005 12:51 AM

I'll agree with Grace, and I'll add After the Goldrush for myself simply because it is my favourite album ever.

Being a Jeff Buckley fanboy is fun.:)

magicbus 12-23-2005 01:05 AM

I'd say Dark Side of the Moon, On The Beach, Close To The Edge, Revolver, The Band (s/t), Blind Faith, and I'll probably edit it more later. (Perfect albums, that is.)

Leper 12-23-2005 01:26 AM

So who's heard what about the Bob Dylan movie being made?

Doctor Night 12-23-2005 04:32 AM

I've heard nothing.

But, I do know that the Dire Straits are very damn good.

WelcomeToTheMachine 12-23-2005 05:58 AM

Perfect albums?

1. In The Court Of The Crimson King - King Crimson
2. The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway - Genesis
3. Brain Salad Surgery - Emerson Lake And Palmer (almost all perfect except for Benny The Bouncer)
4. Close To The Edge - Yes
5. Fragile - Yes

Firecracker 12-23-2005 06:41 AM

Neal Morse - ?

Badmoon 12-23-2005 07:43 AM
On The Beach
I never got into On the Beach.

Completely Perfect Albums:
------------------------------
Johnny Cash - Unchained
Dr. John - Gris-gris
Grateful Dead - Workingman's Dead
Grateful Dead - Europe '72
The Beatles - Revolver
Calexico - Convict Pool [EP]

Kaleidoscope Eyes 12-23-2005 07:52 AM

I think On The Beach gets old after a while

I heard a Christmas song by Dr. John the other day, it was pretty cool, blues sort of thing

Chinese accents are hard because if you ask them to repeat themselves they just say it louder and they can get a little scary

Badmoon 12-23-2005 11:51 AM

Just look at the picture

PinkFreud 12-23-2005 12:05 PM

ugly.

JonG 12-23-2005 12:34 PM

hawt.

I forgot about Convict Pool and Revolver. Perfects in my eyes aswell.

Krabsworth 12-23-2005 12:37 PM

That site is fun.

White trash++

/doesn't even know what we're talking about

PinkFreud 12-23-2005 04:25 PM

revival!

i also think convict pool is perfect, except that i am missing si tu disais. it just plays corona twice, which skips. i should probably just buy the actual cd.

alone again or is better with calexico's singer. he's got a cool drawl.

JonG 12-23-2005 04:28 PM

Si Tu Disais is probably my favorite song on there.

:)

Glitterati 12-23-2005 04:56 PM

London Calling. Now there's a perfect album for ye.
