You must have downloaded a language pack somewhere. If you switch to the other language, your keyboard will re-configure itself to use characters found in that language.

So you need to change your keyboard back to english.

It's definitely your language.

That's how you change the language, is by pushing some buttons on the keyboard. I dont remember which ones though, its been a very long time since I had the problem you're having.

Those accent marks over your e's are not part of the english language. Which leads me to believe you somehow changed your keyboard to type in spanish or some other latin language, maybe italian.

EDIT: Ok so maybe it's not your language....thats exactly what happened to me before though.
