I had a fantastic time on the school trip in year 10. Plus I love snowboarding now, so ...

I'd definitely be on the one the Snowriders Society in Leeds are running this easter, but I didn't know anyone in the society at all before it got booked up =[

So go. GO GO GO

trysthedrummer 11-16-2006 02:27 PM

My school had one, i never went though, i heard lots of good things about it.

jpshortstuff 11-16-2006 02:28 PM

i am go-go-going. i already paid my deposit so i have to, or i lose a load of money :upset:

oh and: Ski>>>Snowboard
although snowboarding looks cooler.

Patrick O))) 11-16-2006 02:45 PM

Phhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!

Boarding pwns

jpshortstuff 11-16-2006 02:48 PM

tbh my statement had absolutely no weight as i have never tried boarding. the thing is, i want to try boarding, but if i do i'd be a total nub and be on my *** the whole week; whereas if i ski i'll be able to go on slopes > 3 degrees steep.

the trip is in Switzerland aswell, and im half-swiss

Patrick O))) 11-16-2006 02:52 PM

No worries, I've never tried skiing :p Except once, dryslope in Halifax. Man, that was shit >:-/

Where in the uk are you? it's just that if you're anywhere near me in Leeds there's a pretty good indoor slope in Castleford, it's about 15 minutes motorway drive away...

Untitled 11-16-2006 02:52 PM

All the skiers i know complain that snowboarders destroy the power snow or something.

Patrick O))) 11-16-2006 02:56 PM

Powder snow? It's true that the board's wider, so they'll compact it more than a ski would, but on the other hand skiers are gay

jpshortstuff 11-16-2006 02:57 PM

im in South Glos. near Bristol.
from what i've heard dry slopes are worth it if you've been skiing on snow, you can't compare the 2. thats what i heard anyways...
but on the other hand skiers are gay
take it back, take it back right now i say

Yeah. i meand powder, not power lol.

Patrick O))) 11-16-2006 03:00 PM

It's horrendous for snowboards. When I went to Halifax it was terrible place was built on top of on of the most exposed hills I've ever seen, and the trip had been cancelled the day before because it was too windy, someone could have been seriously hurt from being blown over

GurS 11-16-2006 04:34 PM

Those damn banks with their musical re-writes and their dodgy ski slopes.

Jev 11-16-2006 04:35 PM

I like the black guy from the halifax adverts.

Mexican Bandito 11-16-2006 05:27 PM

Who gives you extra?
Who? Who? Who? Who?

Hey guys.
Work was a drag today. It was so messy and the customers were horrible today for some reason.
One woman got crabbit with me because the skinny jeans weren't skinny enough. Then another girl watched me fold up a pile of jeans then pulled one out from the very bottom and toppled them all over  grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

I'm going to watch Borat soon :D yay

Untitled 11-16-2006 05:35 PM

Customers are always cocks.

they moan at me because the trolleys dont work.

WTF, they dont do it right. they come up to me "this one, this one, that one, and this trolley dont work" so i pull out a pound and undo them all, no effort, n they look at me like this  then walk off moaning.

Anyone remember me entering a music competition last year?

I'm doing it again is all :)

Patrick O))) 11-17-2006 05:45 AM

I've decided what I'm playing:

Bach guitar trophy
Gavotte en Rondeau (BWV 1006a)

Peter Cain trophy
Tarrega - Caparicho Arabe

Musician of the year
Carcassi - Study No. 9 [1 minute]
Enrique Granados - Spanish Dance No. V [5 minutes]
Agustin Barrios Mangore - Una Limosnita Por El Amor de Dios [4 minutes]
Bach - Cello Prelude [2 minutes 30]

The Granados and Barrios in the last group are the hardestby far

EDIT: really hard :( should be reet though :thumb:

Jev 11-17-2006 06:25 AM
