Does anyone know how I can get drums on Audacity? I'm kinda new to recording and stuff.

There's actually an official Audacity thread in Jam Session, try there. |
Vot'd
/MXified Audacity doesn't have a drum machine but otherwise, pug in a mic and play drums. If your internet connection is fast enough, get on limewire and appropriate a higher quality program. |

Night folks. Votes are done as is my paper intro. Selected passages from the book have been selected. The time for sleep is here. I think I'll listen to this new Jack Johnson CD I got though. Because Jack Johnson is the freakin' man.
|
All right, all right, let's cut down on the spam here.
EDIT: Night DM |
Yeah, Jack Johnson sucks. He's really bland and boring, but people like to confuse that with "mellow".
|
I agree, Ray. I love chill music as much as the next guy, but his music just doesn't do it for me. I just made my girlfriend a mix:
Explosions In the Sky - Your Hand In Mine Radiohead - Where I End and You Begin Kasabian - Benefical Herbs Nine Inch Nails - All the Love in the World The Shins - The Past and Pending Kings of Convenience - Gold In the Air of Summer Matisyahu - Chop 'Em Down Radiohead - Knives Out Kings of Convenience - Surprise Ice Iron and Wine - Such Great Heights Iron and Wine - An Angry Blade Explosions In the Sky - From West Texas Iron and Wine - Jezebel Nick Drake - One Of These Things First Bark Psychosis - The Loom Slowdive - When the Sun Hits Kings of Convenience - Know How Iron and Wine - Gray Stables  |
I like about....0 of those songs.
|
Good thing I'm not dating you :)
|
I like maybe 1/3 of it, though I haven't heard much more than that heh.
|
What haven't you heard?
I've learned about so many new bands through the alternative/indie forum. |
I've heard OF most of them, but haven't listened to, or don't like most.
|
Fair enough. It's just suppoused to be a chill mix.

Oh, Chris, I've been meaning to tell you...I no longer have Friday off, so I won't be able to get there until like 6 or 7. Bastards.

Wtf, why not? That sucks, man. |
[QUOTE=ArrestThisMan]Wtf, why not?

My band plays a wicked cover of this song. |
Awesome! Thats one of my favourite GNR songs!
|
Mine too.
We had a cover of Skynyrd's "Freebird" coming together pretty well, but then our slide guitarist quit the band last week, so that's the end of that. |
how come he quit?
|
He was tired of our female vocalists. To be honest, the rest of us are tired of them too. We don't have anyone lined up to replace them though, so for now we're back to one guitarist. We're going to have to cut all of our blues songs now too.
|
Well Cream played blues with just one guitarist...
|
Yes, but that's Eric Clapton. Josh, sadly, is no Eric Clapton.
|
one day :thumb:
|
He does one mean Angus Young impersonation.
That kid is obsessed with AC/DC. Everytime we write new songs we end up cutting half of them because they're AC/DC rip offs. |
So...
Why don't you people stop posting in and supporting crappy threads by doing so and start posting and discussing stuff in threads such as the artist threads done by the regulars of this forum? Just a suggestion... |
I don't post in most of the band threads in this forum because I don't know much about those bands. I may have heard one or two songs by a band like Vader, but I don't download often and those bands' CDs aren't available in my area, so I'm fairly uninformed when it comes to that music. I post in here because it's general discussion and something I can actually partake in.

Most people have some kind of difficulty in participating in actual band conversation. They like to able to post one line things, or list things.
Of a 20 page, 3,000 word essay I'm on my 4th page and 423rd word. It's going to be a long night :( And for some reason I'm posting on MX? |
Good morning/afternoon/evening, asswipes. How's everybody doin'?

Luckily it was on a 1,500 word essay, but I have another to do for Wednesday now (and then another for Friday..and then two more for Monday). |
I've got an exam tonight, another one tomorow, one on Thursday, and then I'm done.
I just got back from hanging out with my girlfriend. She looked hot as hell in a mini-skirt. I came home and tried taking my pills, and for some reason I threw up :( |
Me=awesome. :D

Which one was the least expensive from that list? I just got another haircut :-\ When you get haircuts (if you do, that is), do the stylists/barbers do some ridiculous hairstyle to finish your haircut that makes you look like the goofiest cornball ever, or are they sane and style your hair as you'd normally do it. I remember the one time I went to some no-name barbershop by my house and I got a side comeover. It was one of my more awful hair presentations. As soon as I walked out that door, I definitely had to fix that up so I didn't look like I was walking out of the '40s. |

Mix of used and new CDs. I got one haircut on a trip to Washington to "look presentable" on Christmas for the family. We ended up going to the only barbershop in town, on the windows it says "cheap military cuts." I think that will tell you how much hair I lost. Mind you it snowed that whole next week and I didn't have a hat :( |
