Does anyone know if Wehrmacht are any good?
See Metal Militia? I told you.
I'm pretty **** sure I've mentioned/recommended Wehrmacht in here before...and to answer the question, yes, they're freakin' great crossover/thrash with some pretty **** funny songs/lyrics.

Yeah yeah, I can't remember everything.

I think that song is on their fansite or something though. I'll go check. The title is great.

RCA 02-09-2005 02:41 PM

Wehrmacht are good, check them out. I've only heard of Necrodeath, haven't checked them out yet...

WHEN THE HELL IS OG GETTING BACK FROM KOREA?

With song titles like that I must check them out.

NP: Slayer - Spirit in Black

RCA 02-09-2005 02:51 PM
Yeah it does happen round here.

As for the Forbidden question, I prefer Twisted Into Form and Coroner are a hell of a lot better in my opinion. Hey! RCA has stars now, congrats.

NP: Cro-Mags - Show You No Mercy
Thanks man :thumb:

Corporal Compendia 02-09-2005 05:17 PM

Just picked up Discharge - Hear Nothing See Nothing Say Nothing

Classic! but not for everybody in this thread... I shouldn't have waited so long to pick it up though.

RavenousMetalist87 02-09-2005 07:38 PM

My cousin gave me a Discharge CD on Christmas, but not brand new. He had it in his Landrover laying around in there, and he played a few songs from it, and I thought it was pretty cool. I haven't listened to all of it though...XD

ForiegnPenguin 02-09-2005 07:45 PM

Found Extreme Agression for half at Newbury Comics. I like it more than PTK.

Apocalyptic Raids 02-10-2005 03:26 AM

Ahh, so it has. Thanks for the heads up.

ThrashMaster27 02-10-2005 05:38 AM

No worries. It's well worth checking out if you ask me. Although some of our more Thrash or Die members will tell you a few flaws in it.

An absolute classic. It should be for everyone. Hear what was, by a long way, the most extreme band on the planet.

ThrashMaster27 02-10-2005 07:06 AM

Discharge are badass!

Aswell as Bad Brains, GBH, Black Flag....the list goes on.

LordDargon 02-10-2005 07:14 AM

Ah, right at the top of the page when I log on in the morning, that's what I like to see!

I haven't actually heard any Discharge (:upset:) but I do recognize how influential they were. Think I would like it?

Foreign: Nice find :thumb: Extreme Aggression has Betrayer on it! \m/

RCA 02-10-2005 09:19 AM

This March, that tour with Kreator, Death Angel, and Vader is running by some cities near here, I'm going to try to go to a few of those shows.

I picked up Whiplash - Ticket to Mayhem yesterday, and it's quite good.

metal-militia 02-10-2005 11:56 AM

Whiplash - Another band i reccomend 546074560 times :)

LordDargon 02-10-2005 11:57 AM

Just google megadeth t-shirts, that's what I do for all bands, it sometimes works depending on the popularity of the band.

Anyway, here you go

I don't recall you asking to join.

ThrashMaster27 02-11-2005 08:13 AM

To be honest, not many of the founding members and first 10 people pledge to the Thrash clan anymore. I have a different user title and avatar, same as Jmet and Dargon. Most of our members have been banned or changed their titles. I'm still active in the thread though, as our many of our members. I suppose thats all that matters.

LordDargon 02-11-2005 08:15 AM

Who exactly are you talking to? Or did you just bring it up randomly?

Have you heard Turbo? They're some form of Polish thrash. I have to check them out still.

ThrashMaster27 02-11-2005 08:19 AM

I was just referring to your "I don't recall you asking to join" thing. I think the clan is basically dead now. It's just full of members since the start and others like RCA, who are very knowledgable on Thrash. I'm still wondering where Joel has pissed off to though. Must be to do with education.

Polish Thrash? You should get on that mate. I'm well up on English Thrash.....you get up on Polish Thrash.

*coughs* :p

Whats good English thrash?

I have Sabbat, Onslaught, Sacrilage, Cro-mags and some others in some other folder i think

I've heard some Sabbat, but what's Onslaught like?, it's a good name so hopefully their material is also good :D

NP: Destruction - Course the Gods (is it supposed to be 'Curse' and my media player's just being a retard? )

EDIT: Vocals just confirmed that it's 'Curse' :p Man that one riff is kick ass, I'm gonna go learn it.

err Sabbat? Xentrix? errI don't know really we never had tht much in the way of great thrash.

metal-militia 02-11-2005 12:12 PM

I said Sabbat, and crap, how could i forget Xentrix?

Xentrix have the best ever cover song :p

Onslaught are good, but In Search of Sanity had a more melodic approach and i didnt like it as much.

NP: Xentrix - Ghostbusters (live)

LordDargon 02-11-2005 12:15 PM

I'm sure you've never heard of Venom :p

metal-militia 02-11-2005 12:17 PM

Venom aren't proper thrash IMO, but had a big influence on it.

LordDargon 02-11-2005 03:29 PM

Turbo are quite good speed/thrash.

I think Brazil and Germany share the throne for producing the most (quantity) solid thrash bands.

I think the best thrash comes from USA/Germany/Canada :thumb:
