I know thats an APC video BUT Maynard does mention aenima in there at about 2:18 of the video (Stories Behind the Songs)...Just thougth I'd post this since there seems to be some confusion on how it's pronounced.

extreme_191 04-06-2005 09:28 PM

Cornell can sure belt it out, or at least he could, but Maynard just seems that much stronger.

And for all those Third Eye lovers out there, I salute you \m/ \m/

I actually listened to that song twice today. Unfortunately I haven't heard a second from Salival. I'm not willimng to spend over $50 for one cd, no matter how good it is.

Kage 04-06-2005 09:28 PM

Eh, I'll continue to pronounce it how I want :P

You should download the highlights of it --- Third Eye live and No Quarter.

extreme_191 04-06-2005 09:34 PM

sadly, my father doesn't allow music download systems for I leaked a virus onto our computer. I hope to see them, if they come to Vancouver.

I can only wish. If they tour with Meshuggah, that will be the best day of my life. And I mean that.

Someone could upload them for you using yousendit, I will if noone does before I get more internet credit.

Kage 04-06-2005 09:43 PM

I would, but I'm extremely busy at the moment with a big paper that's due tomorow. Procrastinating as usual. If you want, I can upload them tomorow if someone doesn't before that.

misunderstood 04-06-2005 09:55 PM

**** those papers..i've got one to do as well for pyschology..and an exam for journalism! Should be studying.

extreme_191 04-06-2005 10:17 PM

That's much appreciated. You can find my e-mail under my profile, obviously.

Good luck with the paper. \m/

Berty 04-07-2005 01:55 AM

No. That doesn't really make any sense.

joemarsh 04-07-2005 05:41 AM

not as funny as the bus accident

deadvoodoodoll 04-07-2005 07:05 AM

It was an April Fools joke.

Im now using this post for everytime that question is asked.

Kage 04-07-2005 07:45 AM

Okay, hopefully the official announcement of hte April Fool's joke will deter some of these people asking about it.

The April Fool's confirmation was a lot better than the initial joke, at least.

Otherside 04-07-2005 08:03 AM

I think it was funny that MTV wrote an article about it.

Shadius 04-07-2005 08:19 AM

Haha, MJK rocks.

Special Brew 04-07-2005 08:26 AM

Maynard is never leaving for religion, I don't think we have to worry about that.

clearvision 04-07-2005 11:46 AM

 I can't believe people believed that, Blair even mentioned april fool in the post. I just thought he was saying it to excuse a delay in the release. But, tool has just attracted major attention to itself, could this be build up to the release?

Huber 04-07-2005 11:50 AM
can i add...does any one think a perfect circle is a faster version of tool
No, it's not an anything version of Tool. A Perfect Circle is a group of guys who came together to write a different kind of music then they were in their previous bands. For Maynard, this meant a more simple lyrical style. It creates "a perfect circle" for the musicians' careers, hence the name of the band.

Edit: Sorry that was kinda off topic. I accidently clicked the "view next un-seen post" instead of the thread title and thought that was on the latest page.

Dried Muffin Remnants 04-07-2005 01:37 PM

A Perfect Circle has much more of a catchier sound than Tool does, for the most part. Also Tool is a lot heavier.

On the April Fools thing, I could see people falling for it. I mean, I don't expect casual fans to know about the whole anti-organized religion theme. It certainly isn't blatant when you just listen to their songs. However, some of us read up more on Tool suspected this, because we've seen more interviews and $hit. I don't really think it's fair to point and laugh at those who fell for it. (However, I did do that to a big Tool fan, LOL)

Adam Jones is GOD 04-07-2005 01:38 PM

I dont laugh at those who fell for it. I do get annoyed at those who are still asking whther its true or not after an explanation has been posted

the2stranger 04-07-2005 01:43 PM

those who need to ask, aren't real fans, I think.
just read a few of MJK's lyrics, that should tell them enough.
MJK leaving cause he's found God?

they should update us on how far their album is after this 'major shock' :p

/excited for the new album

BlindWriting 04-07-2005 01:59 PM

Today was already a great day, and coming home to this made it all the better.

you jackass,
that was just MJK making fun of head from korn he says in a interveiw that it might have just been William Dafoe. for everyone who didnt get that he played jesus in The Last Temtation Of Christ

ChimPz 04-07-2005 04:21 PM

This isn't really about Tool or APC but has anyone heard of a band called Feersum Enjinn?
It's a project from Paul D'Amour.
They play something in a style similar to Tools.

Problem is, it's nearly impossible to find. Does anyone know where you can find mp3's. Even directions towards someone who does know are welcome.

The JoZ 04-07-2005 04:39 PM

Seriously, can we stop talking about the Maynard and Jesus thing?

It was an April Fool's Joke. Period. Discuss other Tool related things, not that anymore, please.

To Chimpz, the only project I ever heard Paul do after Tool was Lusk...so...never heard of that new project of his.

 I love MJK's sense of humor. Yeah I can't wait for the new album, they are going to do a tour right? Yeah I listen to a lot of classic rock so its would be nice to go to a non reunion tour where all member still have their original members and hair.
