Check out Exhorder.

BludgeonySteve 10-22-2004 10:20 PM

testament, exodus and kreator, Exhorder and heathen.

Will do.

Thank you, Titans of Thrash :thumb:

reidster90 10-22-2004 10:23 PM

if you want to get into thrash get either Reign in Blood by Slayer, Kill Em' All by Metallica, or Peace Sells by Megadeth. All those records have changed my life.
Pretty much any of the albums before the Black Album(JFA,RTL,MOP) are decent thrash albums.

Well, I have Kill Em' all, Ride The Lighting and MOP. and Reign in Blood. I'll check into peace sells though. Don't have that one yet.

Anyways, thanks guys :thumb:

Do you have soul seek? I'll give you some songs from various bands and see if you like them... my username is 'ManicThrasher' . Alternatively, contact me through msn, and ill hook you up with some songs (j_metallica_j@hotmail.com) ... that goes for everyone who wants to get into stuff a bit more obscure than anthrax and megadeth. Cheers.

JMetallica 10-22-2004 10:39 PM

soulseek webpage is: www.slsknet.org by the way. Get it reguardless of whether you want some songs off me, as it is a decent program for getting music.

manuscriptreplica 10-22-2004 11:11 PM

Don't check out Exhorder, unless you want a crappy Pantera. Instead check out the following:

Coroner
Nuclear Assault
and the song Annihilator - Alison Hell, because it's good.

manuscriptreplica 10-22-2004 11:49 PM

No one's mentioned Solstice yet, either.
Talking about drummers did any of you guys ever hear a song called "corporal jigsore quandry" by a band called the berserker?
That would be a Carcass cover. I haven't heard it. However if you want insanely fast Berzerker drumming get teh song 'No-one Wins" they have it on their site at www.theberzerker.com

I did not know that Heathen had their albums up on their site! Good thing too, becuase they're pretty hard to find.

RavenousMetalist87 10-23-2004 05:01 PM

I bought 2 Sodom CDs today from the Tower Records in Montery Park (I was suprised they even had Sodom CDs XD)

I was searching on the main display racks where everything is shown like "S Starts here", and what I did was look under the rack and there were 3 shelves with other CDs. I discovered 2 Sodom CDs on the 2nd shelf and decided to buy them:

Code Red
One Night In Bangkok

So far, Code Red's Track 3 and 13 are aggressive as it can get. I'm waiting till I get really hyper or tired so I can wake myself up to some heavy thrash.

Holy crap! i was doing a little general browsing on the net, and i come across NWOBHM band Angel Witch's line up, and it's 3/4 made up of Heathen members! Did anyone else know this? ****, it's a small metal world!

Anyway, if you don't know who or what angel witch are, i suggest you download any portion of their 'Angel Witch' debut, making sure the song 'Angel Witch' is apart of that portion. It's classic NWOBHM, you WILL enjoy it!

I heard it and I find it decent, the drums are crazy. But that other song I was talking about is faster...way faster... you can hear it on www.blackmetalradio.com episode 65.

JMetallica 10-24-2004 06:24 AM

The Berserker are just tooo fast. :-/

http://www.fun-with-money.com/metalchurch

For all of you who haven't heard any metal church, there are FOUR full albums for download right there. I'd advise my fellow thrashers to get the 1984 self titled album. It is considered a classic by most. Me included!

manuscriptreplica 10-24-2004 06:33 AM

It's funny that you can download 4 albums from a site entitled 'fun with money' ... Metal Church certainly won't be doing that!

JMetallica 10-24-2004 06:35 AM

Haha, nope. You'll be the one doing that. ;)
