A quick question about Vinnie, does he use a double pedal?
|

I think so http://www.vinniecolaiuta.com/images/drumsinswitz.jpg Gah im dumb. Of course he does. He was in a DW ad for the DW5000 double pedal. |
I believe so, i'm not sure though.
|
Thanks yeah because I'm listening to some of his stuff and its all confusing. Btw Bissonette is also a beast, like a modern day Gadd, I listened to Maynard Fergusons(SP?) cocnut champange and I thought it was Gadd until he said at the very end "Greg Bissonette". Great stuff there, be sure to check him out.

He has one, but as far as I'm aware, he doesn't use it all that often in his playing. Hell, with that one foot speed, you barely need to :p

Is This A Good Idea To build Skill??
I have really been feeling,........less creative lately, now I was thinking about picking NINE! thats right NINE! albums of music, (3 of Rush, 3 of RHCP, And 3 Randoms) and learning possibly every song on all of them, or just the ones I find most interesting, (now of course this is a long term project) and learning them off by heart completly. now would this help seeing as it would give me more of a variety of beats to mix 'N' match throughout my drumming, and also it would give me different looks at song structure. Now I know this is going to be one difficult project, but seeing as winter is comming up and I don't work during winter, I have nothing better to do so I would have the time to learn it. so I am wondering, would all this work be necessary???? and would it actually work? |
Why? cause he was a horrible father for the most part.

Hmm...
It seems like a good idea, since both bands are I guess "Rock" in General, I wouldn't normally see it as a good idea, but since they are both different, much different, in musicality and drumming wise i'd be a good idea. Make the three random ones one drum n bass, one hip hop, one jazz, and one latin. That's 4. But Somehow get all those genres in, you don't need 3 RHCP albums.. |
i say he should still get a few RHCP, 2 to be exact, Blood Sugar Sex Magik and Californication, that way he can work his mad funk grooves and his slow more chill grooves. that's 2, so that leaves 7. i dunno, get some jazz, latin, hip hop, drum and bass, get the first Rage Against the Machine CD, then get a Rush, or, if ya wanna be special get Blackwater Park or Ghost Reveries by Opeth

Haha Aaron, Poser.
But looks cool. Sorta looks like your current set, with just a bunch of **** added. |

|
pretty cool arron, are the drums going to be upgraded.
i have everything for my set that i want atm, 2 crashes, 1 ride, and hihats, with an 8,10,14 configuration. i just wrote down my christmas list, and i want over $500 in books for the drums. |
Nice with the 8,10, 14 config.
Tomorrow I'm getting a shaker, windchimes, a groove wedge, and a cymbal stand. Hopefully all for under 100 bucks. |
Not for a long while. I've decided to buy an apartment instead and use my kit savings as the deposit. Trust me, a hard decision to make, but a better one in the long run.
|
i want a tamborine really badly.
i agree with ur decision. |
get a hat-trick. i got one last week and they're awesome. you can play them with sticks if you put them upside down. p.s. cheers for the support, im only 20 so im scared! lol

Credit cards and credit in general are excellent tools if you use them responsibly. |
Yes, that is true. It's the "use responsibly" that is the hard part.
