I agree. I'm still voting for him based on the end of Space Truckin'.
Space Truckin' is the worst song ever.

Broken Arrow 12-18-2005 12:22 PM

Can I ask why?

I thought Neil's performance was pretty good.

I liked hearing some stuff off he new album live.

Krabsworth 12-18-2005 12:23 PM

No.

You're the worst poster ever.

Jacaranda 12-18-2005 12:51 PM
jacaranda, did you get the songs?

to the guy above me, i cant help you. sorry.
Ya, I'm downloading now. Thanks.

Neil was pretty good last night, too bad SNL still sucked even with Jack Black on it. Although I kinda like the Debbie Downer skits.

Why I don't like crappy music.
Why I don't like crappy music.
No, because you suck in general.
Does anyone have the Fillmore West 3-CD set that was recently released?
No, I want it though. They release like a 7-disc set of all of the shows from the Live/Dead run of shows. It was released in very limited numbers though and you had to pre-order it on their site. I wish I'd gotten it.

I was skimming through the Annotated Lyrics in Barnes & Noble and it said Me and My Uncle is the most performed Grateful Dead song, cover or original. I believe it said they started playing it in 1966.

Yea, stop sucking, right now.

Firecracker 12-18-2005 01:21 PM

I bought a ELP cd the other day, i haven't listened to it yet. But i am expecting great things.

Bus 12-18-2005 02:07 PM

I just got my dad a Marshall Tucker Band dvd for christmas. I've never listened to them but he seemed to like them in college, so maybe I'll check it out after he opens it.

Illmatic 12-18-2005 02:28 PM

No, I agree with him here: Deep Purple sucks.

Lunch 12-18-2005 02:35 PM

Cool, which album?

The Live/Dead run was released as a 10-CD set, which was excessive even for me. I wouldn't have ordered it even if I knew about the release date.

10 CDs? Wow, I bet there's actually only like five songs..hahah.

I don't really like Deep Purple very much, maybe I just haven't heard enough...they just seem so average, nothing really stands out about them. Talented musicians, but that doesn't seem to help them any.

JPJ, everything about that account pisses me off...I wanna punch your avatar in the nose.

Broken Arrow 12-18-2005 03:08 PM

Anyone, want the Jimi Hendrix/Jim Morrison songs?

Or Jimi doing Sunshine of Your Love and Outside Woman Blues?

Or just other rarer Jimi songs?

I can YSI them for an early Christmas Present.

Krabsworth 12-18-2005 03:09 PM

Who is that in JPJ's alternate account avatar?

Broken Arrow 12-18-2005 03:13 PM

Rip Taylor. I think.

Krabsworth 12-18-2005 03:16 PM

I've been reading Guitar Player magazine backissues lately, and it is disapointing to read how much famous guitarists don't or didn't practice. George Harrison claimed to hardly practice, and I think BB King said he didn't do it much either.

Bus 12-18-2005 03:18 PM

I'd like to hear those rare Jimi tracks, if possible.

Does anybody want me to send out anything.

Broken Arrow 12-18-2005 03:25 PM

Ok, I'll send them out to everbody in abit, I have to do some stuff first.

Badmoon 12-18-2005 04:40 PM

Yea, it is the most performed "song". However, "Drums and Space" (AKA "Drums", "Rhythm Devils", "Space", etc) in all of its forms has been performed more. But of course, that is not considered a song.

You don't like Rip?
I don't really like Deep Purple very much, maybe I just haven't heard enough...they just seem so average, nothing really stands out about them. Talented musicians, but that doesn't seem to help them any.
I feel the exact opposite. I think they were unique among the plethora of hard/arena rock bands of the 70's. I think partly because of the keyboard heavy-ness of their songs.

PinkFreud 12-18-2005 05:06 PM

they were. they had a certain proggish feel to them. not to mention that every member was/is ridiculously talented. space truckin isnt the best representation of their material. ask jacaranda to send you the link that i sent him of gillan/purple material. its great.

robo2448 12-18-2005 05:40 PM

I like Deep Purple. All I have is their greatest hits, and i don't feel the need for anything more, but it's still good stuff. Gillan has a great voice. All-around, the band is really talented. I haven't listened to them in a really long time though.

HAHAHA, McCartney looks like he has a wicked combover in that avatar.

I have decided that The Clash are possibly the coolest non-classic rock bands of the '70s.
