Saw Limp Wrist tonight, **** owned

40 oz 2 freedom 07-08-2008 01:59 AM

This version of Boom Bye Bye is not near as good. The 7" one was one of my favorite CW songs.

BuddyBigsby 07-08-2008 02:16 AM

i usually hate re-recordings, especially when they're for LPs.

this is pretty good upon first listen. great production.

sunny day dude... were broken patterns any good? and were wrestler stage dives in effect?

flesh 07-08-2008 02:38 AM

I dont know which one was Broken Patterns. But when people would get on stage the bouncers (people who run the wrestling place) would push them off and at the end of the set during the last song some guy pretty much got suplexed off stage.

BuddyBigsby 07-08-2008 02:56 AM

I don't know if you're familiar with any of these bands but the singer is in Broken Needle, drummer was the singer of Knife Fight, and the guitarist was in Tear it Up and Cut the ****. Sounds potentially ****ing awesome.

The Tragedy show there was pretty wild. I got there late but apparently there was a wrestling match in that ring next to the stage before the show, and this 400 lb. dude that was one of the wrestlers steamrolled about 40 punx when he stage dived.

Whoa, do they have any material out?

Let's Chop Cats! 07-08-2008 09:22 AM

New CW is good. Nothing ground breaking but its good and not a let down. Pat I agree, old version of Boombyebye is better. Breakdown/singing at the end of 'Do the Knowledge' and George's vocals on "Dedicated..." are fucking awesome. I might write up a review later this week after I'm done with classes.

Edit: Oh yeah, LOA guest vocals, you're gay if you don't like.

40 oz 2 freedom 07-08-2008 10:53 AM

The end of Do The Knowledge is a total 311-ish riff, awesome.

I agree Reiner, overall a pretty good cd.

Nope, that's why I was curious

br3ad_man 07-11-2008 08:53 PM

Blacklisted were really good on Thursday, but do they seriously tune after every song at all of their shows?

Let's Chop Cats! 07-11-2008 09:06 PM

Not that I've noticed.

Yeah they do, I noticed that and I saw them about a month ago now.

pixiesfanyo 07-13-2008 02:27 PM

new Cold World definitely takes a few listens to get into.

best track is 'Liars, Thieves'.. way they use the samples in that song is fucking awesome.

You Never Thought It Would End Like Thiiissssssss
Your Life, So Traaaaaggiiiicccccccc

BuddyBigsby 07-13-2008 08:03 PM

George's spot on the title track... hardest 30 seconds of 2008?

Let's Chop Cats! 07-13-2008 08:43 PM

So far, absolutely.

walletCRACKED 07-15-2008 07:06 PM

Whenever I search Ceremony and want to look at their album Violence Violence, a side project of Cannibal Corpse pops up. WHY???

Iluvatar 07-15-2008 11:15 PM

Problem with how the bands were added to the database and since that side project is in theory more popular than Ceremony, the "hardcore" ceremony was added as "Ceremony [USA]" or something silly.

oh alright haha, thanks

Let's Chop Cats! 07-17-2008 12:42 PM

Reading the recent imwithblacklisted update.... "We started writing another record. **** it all......."

Firecracker 07-17-2008 03:40 PM

Saw Converge last night, was incredible.
I thought they were going to do an encore with Jane Doe, but instead with Thaw and No Heroes, was still amazing.

BuddyBigsby 07-17-2008 04:24 PM

Talk about Integrity's set please.

BridgeToSolace 07-18-2008 01:06 PM

Is The Secret's new album worth giving a try?

The first one kinda fell flat.

BuddyBigsby 07-18-2008 02:06 PM

Just bought tickets to see Coheed play their second album from start to finish. **** you all I'm stoked.

That's so fucking rad. I remember being way into SSTB and IKSOSE, but since then they kind of lost that appeal.

pixiesfanyo 07-18-2008 02:17 PM

i think i might go see the SSTB show.

BuddyBigsby 07-18-2008 02:37 PM

Yeah I might go to the SSTB night too, just depends on a lot of ish.

cobert 07-18-2008 03:06 PM

I just downloaded SSTB. I feel like I'm in 8th grade again.

40 oz 2 freedom 07-18-2008 04:06 PM

Seeing SSTB would be pretty cool, I must admit

A Dead Modernist 07-18-2008 04:23 PM

I want to go see Trash Talk and Cold World, but I don't think it's worth the money since the venue is kinda of far.
