Muse was absolutely amazingly fan-freakin'-tastical.

But I am in so much pain.

Ahh, after concert pain.
I'm seeing them again on the 11tn Nov! Cannae wait.

Win A Rabbit 09-25-2006 01:41 PM

I think I have a problem.

Somehow, in my planning for camping, knowing that it was going to be hovering around freezing temperatures at night, I forgot to bring a sleeping bag and more than 2 pairs of socks. Yet the very first thing I packed was my pad, sticks, and metronome.

Is this a good or bad sign?

stevensonmat2 09-25-2006 01:42 PM

Good sign indeed.

Stickman Sam 09-25-2006 02:12 PM

Good sign. I recently camped outside a shop on a concrete floor with nothing but some junk food, a flask of hot chocolate, a practise pad, my sticks and Hitch-Hiker's Guide to the Galaxy.

Good stuff, good stuff.

that made me laugh so much. I live in devon, which is next to dorset, and the majority of people here think dorset is a sh/t hole, and full of dickhead chavs.

Josiah 09-25-2006 02:31 PM

I made a pad recording it's creepy... flams/doubles

HeLLmO 09-25-2006 02:38 PM

Janeway 09-25-2006 02:46 PM

Today sucked.

Josiah 09-25-2006 02:47 PM

awesome! I was just bout a yard shy of nailing the 257 sign i've been after for so long. got some real crankers in too. my friend fell down a few times though haha thanks for askin
startin to see more recording questions interesting

Win A Rabbit 09-25-2006 03:01 PM

257? Not bad. Last year I was hitting/clearing the 285 sign, but I guess that's what you get when your dad's a golf pro.

My younger brother (15) can outdrive me now, but he plays 4 or 5 times a week, whereas I play once or twice a year.

Plus he's got all the new advanced equipment, whereas my clubs were hand-selected by me from the basement of the last course I worked at, which consists of mainly old rental clubs that I re-shafted and re-gripped.

HeLLmO 09-25-2006 03:03 PM

haha awsome dude.

yea, recordin' is cool, i went in on saturday to with my band(well, my friend Dave, who did guitar and bass) and we recorded a few songs with my friend Aaron who has like, the necissary equipment to do some fairly decent recordings.

it's up in a thread on the G&M

^shamless plug

p.s-i have my first rehersal tonight for Pit Band in the school band. i hope we have good bassist, because i really need some good jammin'

Futuro 09-25-2006 03:04 PM

I listened to the new "Weird Al" album last night.
The best part was the R Kelly cover with a Led zepplin sample thrown in

Didnt really like the rest of it that much.

CasB 09-25-2006 03:06 PM

Whoo, more golfers :D

I myself play golf also (not very much, haven't got time for it atm).

Drum Phil 09-25-2006 03:06 PM

I used to love goin down to the pitch n putt on a weekend. Could never be bothered with driving ranges until i was 16 and that bored me a bit.

Josiah 09-25-2006 03:09 PM

I just go to the drivign range..

screw the pad.

here's a snare.

How can you not? =/

I used to listen to nothing but Weird Al from grades 3-5. It's excellent.

Edit: Eh. That album.

Nevermind.

I swallowed a chunk of bannana. It hurts.

And now it just sounds like bad rap songs.

Hahaha perfect description

HeLLmO 09-25-2006 03:20 PM

i'm listening to sublime right now and it's making me very happy

maniac0796 09-25-2006 03:24 PM

Gah, that date rape song pisses me off so much...

Gah, political correctness pisses me off. France has got the right idea banning religious clothing in schools.

Why does britain, a protestant christian country have to bow down to the wishes of muslim minority groups. There was a cemetry in norfolk, which made a rule that all graves must face whatever direction to mecca to please muslims. Well, what about christians. Does that mean that every christian who wants to be buried there have to have their grave subdued to the religous beliefs of muslims?

God damn it, someone needs to stand up an point out the fact there people are guests in our country, and that they should live with some of our traditions, instead of chaning ours to believe theirs!

I love that song.

Win A Rabbit 09-25-2006 03:31 PM

Has anyone heard the new Decemberists album? The start of the second track reminds me of Pink Floyd so much.

Berk 09-25-2006 03:32 PM

YES. Underoath tomarrow.

Then on friday, RHCP

Then on November 23, Drop Dead, Gergeous and Greeley Estates.

Win A Rabbit 09-25-2006 03:36 PM

Oh god. Drop Dead, Gorgeous are horrible. Two of my friends love them, and listened to the cd in the car whenever we drove to town camping to get food. I guess they just go off of the "put in some crappy generic dissonant breakdown riffs, and every scenester will adore it" theme that so many bands are going off of now.

Ill Mitch 09-25-2006 03:42 PM

Oh man. I saw Medeski Martin and Wood on last Friday. It was probably the best concert I've ever been to. Chris Wood is absolutely amazing on bass, John Medeski is a beastly keyboardist, and Billy Martin is a way underrated drummer. I strongly recommend you see them if they come by.

Berk 09-25-2006 03:52 PM

DDG's music isnt very structered. Like random noises with some good vocals and BREAKDOWNS.

Greeley Estates is INSANE.

Win A Rabbit 09-25-2006 03:56 PM

 Greeley Estates is also horrible. I liked them for a day until I listened to how bad their music is all together. None of the instruments compliment each other. Especially the drums. 90% of the time the guy is playing something that completely takes away from the music.

I'm watching the new Jackass movie right now. Some of it's awesome, but the version I have is missing a bunch. Can't wait to see it in theaters tonight.

maniac0796 09-25-2006 03:59 PM

Is there such thing as a triple paradiddle diddle?

If so, would it be:
R L R L R L R R L L
or
R L R R L L R R L L R R L L

Or would it be neither?

Futuro 09-25-2006 03:59 PM

So I take it they work with alot contrapuntal ideas in there music right?
