I don't have Paranoid on vinyl :p
I think that Greatest Hits was the first Sabbath record I listened to, 'til my Dad gave me all the albums (from BS to NSD!) I found out the other day that a 1st edition of Black Sabbath on vinyl could be worth around £60, mine is a 2nd edition so I'm guessing it could be worth around £30/£40.
I thought you had every ozzy album on vinyl from your dad? And to shadow stalker they dont usually use a rythm guitarist, the keyboard player does it on occasion, I think it's only during paranoid. |
So on 'Live Evil' do you guys like Dio covered the Ozzy-era Sabbath songs?
He nailed "Paranoid" "Iron Man" "NIB" and my favorite one that he did was "Black Sabbath." IMO I don't think Ozzy could ever sing "Heaven and Hell" or "Neon Knights." |
anyone got any questions about sabbath
|
To that geezer fella that just joined, welcome your open minded opinions are welcolmed although the way you type is just like saying alot of words really fast with no pauses, it's really annoying, but other than that welcome. And to the guy above me, that is the second high quality graphics avatar i've seen of Vincent and I've also seen a Aeris one. Where do you get them?
thanx and sorry about the editing thing |
is there anybody on right now?
|
To tell if anyone is one look at that little tick then on the bottom left hand corner of their window for the post, if no-one is on dont ask if anyone is on.
|
I'm on...

Dude, don't ask questions like this. We're all in different timezones, you asked that question when it was 9am my time (GMT). Also, don't triple post again, especially not in some of the bigger threads. You'll get reported then slapped with a 1 day ban from Ken. // Mob Rules - Slightly weaker than Heaven and Hell IMO, a few good songs but it tends to lack that same spark that H&H had. Live Evil - One of my fave. Sabbath albums. Everything about it is spot-on perfect. Apart from the fact that I had to edit out all of Fluff and a large chunk of E5150 to make it fit onto just one cd (I copied it from vinyl). Paranoid on vinyl - That was the only album out of the Ozzy era that my Dad didn't have on vinyl, he had it in cassette tape instead. He's got the song Paranoid on 7" single somewhere. // Next time I get bored (probably in about an hour or so) I'll take a picture of everything I have linked to Black Sabbath (vinyl, cd's, tour programmes etc...) |
Nah the one hes talking about is rare, ive only seen it once and that was a picture he took of it. And I wouldnt mind the Reunion CD.
I could upload it, except (I feel really stupid) I'm not really sure how to send more than one file over yousendit.com. Could you tell me how to? |

Right click on the file where all the songs are saved and press ''Add to Zip''. You should end up with a Winzip file to upload to YSI. |

wow sabbath was so great last night
ozzfest as whole rocked but sabbath was awsome |
I am now the proud owner of all Black Sabbath cd's!
*small dance with crotch grabs*
Cool, now you can use Forbidden as a frisbee. :thumb: |
Cool, now you can use Forbidden as a frisbee. :thumb:
I've been tempted to use Paranoid as a frisbee before. |
Come on Andy you know that deep down you love paranoid
|
Half of the album is filler...
|
I like almost all the album (even though i am abit sick of sabbath at the moment) it's still pretty good to me.
although i can't stand planet caravan, give me solitude any day over that shit |
heh
masters my self |
Planet Caravan is the only reason I very rarely put the Paranoid cd into my Hi-Fi.

You should hear Gillan sing Black Sabbath, it's the best version I've heard imo. He uses that patented scream he has which he also uses in Child in Time. |
*drool*
Where´d you find that? |
It was only a sample, you can get it here: http://home.swipnet.se/sabbath83/
then go to miscellaneous. Also I know a website to get live bootlegs. I personally dont have any but the range covers every line-up even Ray Gillan. Thats here: http://mywebpages.comcast.net/sabbath141/index.html |
Gillan has an amazing voice, I have a few live versions of Child in Time and they're spine-chillingly brilliant.
I have a version of War Pigs by him somewhere, and a Black Sabbath version of Smoke on the Water. |
Is the Black Sabbath version of smoke on the water very different or basically the same?
|
Pretty much the same, I'll upload it later.
|
What's everyones favourite Sabbath album? I'd have to go for Vol. 4.
|
Yes Vol 4 is a classic and one of my favourites. My favourite songs are Megalomania, Hole in the Sky and Symptom of the Universe so even though i don't own sabatage i'm going with that album.
|
I'm torn between Vol.4, Heaven and Hell, Never Say Die, Live Evil, Sabotage and TYR as my fave. album.
I can't choose :( // Smoke on the Water (live) hxxp://s23.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=2JP8SJ8SLZNQW0H5FTLAY27OMK I wonder what Ritchie thought of this version... |

Nice! Child in Time is my all time favorite vocal performance. Awesome guitar solo, too. I've heard that Sabbath version of Smoke on the Water, its a bit too similar for my taste. |
