Irony?

On occasion I wear my Catholic school sweatshirt or the complete irony, but I hated the 9 years I spent at that school.

Still a pretty fun show.
I'm seeing them on the 28th. Should be amazing because there's gonna be some good local ska bands opening.

TakeWarning 12-27-2005 03:17 AM

So far these summer holidays have been awesome, plus we've still got 5 weeks to go.

holy_roller99 12-27-2005 03:23 AM

Fucking hell, you're dumb.

You see, Australia is in the Southern Hemisphere, so it is summer over here, whereas the USA is in the Northern Hemisphere, where it is winter.

Do you understand?

As long as it's warm. Although, it's cold here and I don't really mind it.

Jessizzle 12-27-2005 09:06 AM

I still have till Jan 9th. Ah.. but when breaks over that means EXAMS! ugh i reallly should study.

TakeWarning 12-27-2005 09:09 AM

My sister got her TEE (equivalent to GCSE, SAT, GSCE, HSC) results back today. 97.5, she can do anything she wants to do.

Thats insane. My goal is to get a 75% I'll be extreamly happy with that. Right now im at a 60%

TakeWarning 12-27-2005 09:16 AM

If you get 80% or above, you can get into most university courses.

Jessizzle 12-27-2005 09:18 AM

That wont ever happen. Im just not smart. Some people are smart, some people try hard and get the grades, Some people no matter how hard they try will allways be averge in school.
Im fine with it, and I plan on working for stomp records one day.

TakeWarning 12-27-2005 09:20 AM

I used to be smart but now I'm dumb.

The lower you set your bar, the less chance there is of failing is my theory on schoolwork.

Jessizzle 12-27-2005 09:27 AM

Stomp Records isnt taking any new "street team" members right now. But I guess thats where im going to start sooner or later.

TakeWarning 12-27-2005 09:28 AM

Which good bands do Stomp Records have?

Wow, that has some awesome bands. Bedouin Soundclash, The Flatliners, Captain Everything.

ThisUserIsAPipebomb 12-27-2005 12:06 PM

Yeah Stomp is now going to be one of my favorite labels. I didn't know all those bands were on there.

Forest_Fire 12-27-2005 02:44 PM

Can I make a thread about how good spoonboy is, or should I just leave it in here since not that many of you would probably care?

That's my theory and it works well. I have really low expectations for myself. Cs are fine, or as long as I pass is all that really matters and I usuallu end up doing pretty good and don't bag on myself if I don't do fantastic.

Iv always loved them. they have some reallly good bands.
Iv always been a huge fan of their All-Skanadian Club Comp cds. All my favourite Canadian ska on one comp.

coheneran 12-27-2005 06:22 PM

Is anyone else getting extremely irritated with those bloody advert banners for IM Smileys? Everytime I exit a thread it goes "Say something" "What" and it just grinds my nerves.

Vietnow 12-27-2005 06:28 PM

General Rudie, 'Smashers, New York Jazz-ska ensemble and the Toasters are the best on STOMP
