I tried Aarons setup before and its really ****ing comfortable. 1 up, 2 down, hihats, 2 crashes and a china. I use that setup when I play gigs a lot. Its fun.

Ok, so when me and my ex broke up like a month ago or so I decided I'm going to settle for no less than a drummer and/or bassist who likes Porcupine Tree and jazz, is taller than me, and lives less than an hour away. Plus all the normal personality stuff that is required.

So yeah, I already found that guy. He's a pretty cool guy, I've hung out with him a few times before, but I never knew he liked jazz till we were hanging out at this party last night, and now I've decided he's perfect.
But now what do I do about it :upset:

14" x 6.5" Tama Artwood and same size Black Panther Natural Maple are what I've narrowed it down to as far as price. I gotta have a beefier snare sound. Chad Smith's sig is good but can't be tuned very meaty at all.

I like screamo to an extent. Saetia, Hot Cross, CTTS, Fear Before The March of Flames. That's decent, tolerable screamo. That **** is like jumping on a parrot while scraping your nails across a chalk board and blowing chunky cannon balls from your a[B]s[/B]s.

If a good concert came around, that would be the most perfect opportunity ever. Cause when I was going to Opeth in March, he wanted to come with me (that's how I met him, cause he was wearing an Opeth tshirt and I asked if he was going). And last night he asked if I was going to anymore sweet concerts in the future and that I should take him with me if I was.

Now if Porcupine Tree would just come around here...

I don't feel well.

I want that DVD too! And I want Gavin Harrison's Rhythmic Horizons.

And the Opeth concert was in March so kinda missed the opportunity with that. I wasn't single at that time anyway.

But I did just buy a 14 cd set called "Insane music for insane people". lol its insane.

It is mostly world music, and it got horrible reviews from american retailers, so you KNOW it must be awsome.
