There will never be another Dylan.
Yeah they don't make as much ciggies any more lul. Anyway, I'm pleased with the top 50 so far, since Dylan made it and all. But wait wtf called Bright Eyes queer the Dylan of our generation? |
*cough*
Grateful Dead
Uhhh Frank Zappa |
Uhhh Frank Zappa
No, allow me to assure you: it is the Grateful Dead. |
No, allow me to assure you: it is the Grateful Dead.
Um stfu |
I'm pissed that no one from CSNY or Gregg Allman made it.
W00t for JPJ liking PATGOD. Bright Eyes:Heard one song, didnt like it. Stooges:Love the album Raw Power. Talking Heads:Not bad but I've only heard afew songs. The Smiths:Tried The Queen is Dead really didnt like it. Listening to Ben Harper right now though. |
But, Zappa was born in Maryland. His family moved when he was 11.
Technically... :P |

Ben Harper is a terrific singer/songwriter. I've got a friend who really likes him, and I'm considering getting Fight for Your Mind. Krabsworth: That's not helping your case, you just sound like a retard; take that to the pit please. |
Listening to Ben Harper right now though.
*h5* Ben Harper is the man. I haven't listened to him in a while. |
No, allow me to assure you: it is the Grateful Dead.
CCR |
Yeah all I have is a MixCD with some great songs on it.
A couple great Ben Haper/Jack Johson tracks on it. Np-Iron & Wine-Jezebel |
Np-Iron & Wine-Jezebel
I was supposed to see Calexico and Iron & Wine today, but couldn't get the money for a ticket. :upset: I would have prefered if Iron & Wine wasn't there. |
Yeah, I would like to see them, although I have nothing else but Convict Pool.
Is your avatar Gangs of New York? |
I was supposed to see Calexico and Iron & Wine today, but couldn't get the money for a ticket. :upset:
I would have prefered if Iron & Wine wasn't there.
Why Sam Beams a cool guy. They were each gonna play there own solo set than do a set together to do the songs from In the Reins. |
Is your avatar Gangs of New York?
Yes, it is.
Why Sam Beams a cool guy.
Yea, but he sucks at music. |
Yes, it is.
You didnt answer my question about how you dont like I&W. np-Bob Dylan-Fixin' to Die Blues I accutally love Bob's s/t, although most of its cover songs. Oh, I see your nija edit. Yeah, he isnt that good at music but he is cool and I enjoy his music. |
You didnt answer my question about how you dont like I&W.
Yes I did. |
Yes I did.
I know, I acknowledged it late because you had to ninja edit it. Nice try though. |
Aerosmith rawks, for classic rock.
|
ELP rock. I've been really into them lately.
|
I think I've only heard one song by them, I'm not even sure if it was them though. It was really were upbeat song that had lots of changes.
It was about seeing a show or something, still I'm no sure if this was even them. |
CCR
DMV Disclaimer- I am, in no way, not a fan of CCR. BUT! While I thouroughly enjoy their music, The Grateful Dead were/are better. I love Lucky Man by ELP. I also enjoy Tarkus, or at least I think I did. I can't quite remember too much about it aside from the fact that it was a exceedingly long. I've heard another longish song by them about time/life. I don't recall the name though.
This made little sense to me. It;s probably me though.
It's a double negative |

Bright Eyes...meh. It seems half of Alt/Indie loves him, and the other half (me included) don't see why he's so great. I tried him out, but I prefer Elliott Smith.
|
Why do the CR regulars mostly have black and white avatars?
I think this came up a long time ago. |
I always here it one the radio, whats it called?
So do you like CCR or not DMV?
I believe it's Karn Evil 9 (1st Impression Pt. 2). |
Why do the CR regulars mostly have black and white avatars?
I think this came up a long time ago.
I think the Black & White avatars look very intelligent. Same with those weird metal avatars. like the ones Cain and Stoic have. Not like those shitty homemade ones. |
I've always liked black and white avatars. Whether it be my Buddy Guy, Robbie Robertson, Jim Morrison, George Harrison, Taxi Driver, or Belushi avatars.
So I just listened to Raw Power, The Stooges, and Funhouse in a row, to see which I liked best. They're all pretty awesome. The only track I didn't like a lot was "We Will Fall" (off The Stooges), because it dragged on a bit too long. But otherwise these albums rock. NP: The Stooges - 1970 |
