NP: Horrorpops - Crawl Straight Home

R!

maniac0796 01-13-2007 10:55 AM

Whats with all the funny pictures today phil? Pirate keyboard, steve irwin being chased by a manta ray, drum sticks blowing up.

fishbulb 01-13-2007 11:01 AM

So i got some new sticks: Dave Weckl sigs, steward copeland sigs, vic firth 7A's and vater 7A's. I like them all, but i'm using the weckls right now.

maniac0796 01-13-2007 11:03 AM

i use human thigh bones as drum sticks, and skulls as drums, collar bones as cymbals, and knee caps and elbows as splash cymbals and cowbells.

I have weckl sigs. *HIGH FIVE*

I rarely use them though.

Oppurtunism at its best.

maniac0796 01-13-2007 11:05 AM

Yup

fishbulb 01-13-2007 11:23 AM

Does the paint on the weckls wear off on cymbals? I see that some of it chipped or rubbed off but i didn't see any residue on my cymbals.

Oh, and i'll accept that high-five.

Drum Phil 01-13-2007 11:24 AM

Aye, ive cleaned it off mine though.

NP: Horrorpops - Ghouls

The Ska Man 01-13-2007 11:28 AM

I've seen the keyboard before, it was soo funny.

Drum Phil 01-13-2007 11:30 AM

Tis like.

NP: Tiger Army - Nocturnal

Sunshine 01-13-2007 12:20 PM

So I pretty much got the Claire's job.
And I pretty much stopped stalling in the stick shift.

So that pretty much rocks.

Drum Phil 01-13-2007 12:25 PM

You have weird hair, therefore you lose.

NP: The Hitchers - Bop Till You Drop

Sync0pation 01-13-2007 01:20 PM

I just got an awesome idea
I'm going to record tracks of metronomes at diff BPMS
and I'll be able to increase the volume on my ipod and hear it

Why not just make some click tracks in audacity?

Or, if you're too lazy to even do that, download some.

Janeway 01-13-2007 01:54 PM

I got a french press and coffee grinder.

The french press was only $20 and came with sweet cups, but the fucking grinder was $50. It didn't even do a very good job. I just made a cup, but I'm afraid to try it.

Feh.

Sunshine 01-13-2007 01:58 PM
You have weird hair, therefore you lose.

NP: The Hitchers - Bop Till You Drop
Except for the fact that I don't.

Janeway 01-13-2007 02:15 PM

Well.

This coffee is actually pretty good. I used 8 O'Clock, because I wasn't paying $8 for a bag of starbucks and I didn't feel like wading through the mass of obstreperous children to get to the Millstone dispensors.

I'm going to take a dump and try the colombian next.

Sunshine 01-13-2007 02:26 PM

There comes a time in every Chuck Taylor's life when the thin piece of material holding in the back heel piece wears down and the rubber starts jabbing you in the back of the heel, causing a blister.

Most people would throw their shoes out at that point, and replace them.

I, on the other hand, seek to tear it out.

Except the damned thing's stuck to the bottom =/

I can't remember how I did this with my LAST pair of Chucks, that was a long time ago ><

Brokensticks 01-13-2007 02:28 PM

So I have In Absentia by Porcupine Tree. I really enjoyed it. I know of the song "Futile" by Porcupine Tree also and was wondering what is another good album you'd suggest and maybe the one with Futile on it?

Electric Requiem 01-13-2007 02:31 PM

Futile EP
Deadwing
Warszawa has most of the good songs from The pre-gavin harrison era

But Gavin is awesome. I assume Deadwing would be the second best cd then?

Janeway 01-13-2007 02:39 PM

My bowels are.

the_pure_drummer 01-13-2007 02:40 PM

Hey mx.

I got a stick holder today. Tis cool.

I need a new school coat.

Electric Requiem 01-13-2007 02:40 PM

In Absentia is my favorite by a large margin, then I'm not so sure whether I like the warszawa live cd or deadwing.

Sounds like I'll download Deadwing. Thanks for the recommendation man. Didn't know where to start.

the_pure_drummer 01-13-2007 02:46 PM

A hooker.

Electric Requiem 01-13-2007 02:46 PM

I think mangini is the only one Ive heard of, so I can't judge.

the_pure_drummer 01-13-2007 02:47 PM

I still say hooker.

Panopticon 01-13-2007 02:50 PM

Futuro 01-13-2007 03:20 PM

fishbulb 01-13-2007 03:47 PM

Octavarium is a pretty tight album.

Train of thought is a little heavy for me though.

fishbulb 01-13-2007 04:29 PM

Who gives a **** and what gives you the right to control all the ****ing discussion?

Panopticon 01-13-2007 04:31 PM

I like Octavarium, but my favortie DT album is scenes from a memory

How is everyone doing?

Futuro 01-13-2007 04:44 PM
yeah, pretty much this guy there told me if you want killer hands/feet study with him

i dont particularly like him either
Yeah I wouldnt mind having chops like him haha! But I find all that monotonous rock he plays boring as ballz.

EDIT: I like Awake.

Every other dream theater album after that sounds the same to me.
