Ok , Stop Making Sense has been sent out.

I gotta go. It's Zeppelin today in Rock class.

Woodstock 12-09-2005 10:03 AM

I got owned by snow yesterday. No school today.

RIP Mr. Lennon

Happy Birthday Mr. Morrison. I unknowingly wore my Doors shirt yesterday, too.
Nice copying me with How Do You Sleep?

This d0cumentary is almost too upsetting for me to watch. Interesting though.

And yeah Lennon started making some edgier music in his solo career. In 1971 he moved permanently to New York and became completely absorbed in activism and protesting the war. Richard Nixon actually attempted to deport him because he started so many protests.

New Lennon avatar. I think it's a better picture.

Edit- This stuff about Chapman is really disturbing.
Bitch please back off mah song (even if you got to it first:mad: )

yeah that documentary is creepy, i hate the way he only apologized to the doorman for having to see it, not Yoko or Lennon himself

EDIT: holy ****, i just looked out my window, theres a good foot of snow out there :)

PinkFreud 12-09-2005 04:31 PM

snow is terrible. my sister and girlfriend had school cancelled. i just woke up.

being sick sucks.

Illmatic 12-09-2005 04:34 PM

Snow sucks.

Shovelling snow sucks.

Driving through snow sucks.

Having flights being cancelled because of snow sucks.

Okay, so right now I haven't had to deal with any of those (I'm not at home and my finals are next week so I won't be home til then)

But still, I am not very fond of snow.

blue3 12-09-2005 04:44 PM

Snow is good when school gets cancelled.

If you're by Chicago right now, I think we got a nice amount. Unfortunately, it came to early, therefore no snowday :(

robo2448 12-09-2005 05:01 PM

I like snow for about the first hour that it falls. It's great when school's cancelled. But still, you're kind of stuck in your house all day. As Illmatic said it's sucks to drive in and shoveling sucks. I also absolutely hate the cold. Still, I love it when school's cancelled.

Edit- I got school cancelled today. Started around 3-4 in the morning supposedly and snowed till like noon. Good timing. We got a lot of snow.

You guys are all wimp's, we have 2 feet of snow and I still walk home from school, sick!

PinkFreud 12-09-2005 05:37 PM

well my school is almost never closed for snow. and im home anyway. the 2 hour drive last night took us 4 hours and was terrifying.

blue3 12-09-2005 05:46 PM

My school never gets canceled when it's snowing. Cause it snows most of the time anyway..

Glitterati 12-09-2005 06:07 PM

We barely get snow in Vancouver. It just eventually turns to rain.

Well that's because you're iron man.

I'm in Urbana (a few hours south) and we did get a fair amount...I didn't have to drive or shovel it, but walking across campus is a bitch.

Yeah, snow pretty much has no practical value.

JonG 12-09-2005 06:23 PM

It's snowed here a bit. No cancellations though.
You guys are all wimp's, we have 2 feet of snow and I still walk home from school, sick!
Yeah man, snow day's are for pussies. In Saskatchewan, ever second day in winter is pushing the -40 limit...about one to two feet of snow is usually your standard day. I remember last year when it reached -52 celcius, that was so cold I couldn't believe it. Never got a snowday once, I remember being in class when there was so much snow cars couldn't drive on the streets, and there was me and like two other people in class and the teacher still went on with the lesson. American's don't even understand the concept of snow...yet they still get a snowday every time it dips a little lower than freezing level. You'd think all their goddam guns could just shoot through the snow.

I have Sloan in my head....anyone here ever listen to Sloan?

I think i've seen that. The guitar battle with Bruce Springsteen and some other guy I don't know was pretty cool.

I have a question though, i'm getting into Jethro Tull so far I have Aqualung but I am looking for other albums. Would Stand Up be a good next choice?

Broken Arrow 12-10-2005 09:48 AM

Has anyone ever wondered what it would be like if it had been Paul that got shot and John didn't? I wondered that yesterday, it was weird.
Has anyone ever wondered what it would be like if it had been Paul that got shot and John didn't? I wondered that yesterday, it was weird.
Ergh. I love Paul, so that's something I don't even want to think about.

On CBC a few years ago, there was a made-for-tv movie about John and Paul getting back together and starting to write songs, just before John died. It was before I was into The Beatles, so I wish they'd replay it.
