im not going through the last couple of pages because my CP is running really slow, so if this has been said today, sorry

but i just relized its the 17th anniversary of Roy Orbisons death

R.I.P Roy :(
RIP Roy. Man Roy and Lennon dying in the same week. What a crappy week for music. Roy is one of the greatest singers ever, and might be my personal favorite singer ever. Too bad he died young. He was doing some of his best work at the end of his career and didn't show signs of losing his voice.

/puts on Pretty Woman

Edit- EMH, I'd be interested in hearing it- Robo2448@yahoo.com

Be sure to tell us what you think of it Robo, MBS, and anyone else who get's it. My favorite song's from it are: The Queen Is Dead, Frank Mr. Shankly, Bigmouth Strikes Again, Vicar In A Tutu and Some Girls Are Bigger Then Others. But all in all it's a great album. An essential. :)
It show's off Morrissey's beastly voice.

Me and my sis got my mom an accoustic guitar for her birthday today. I think i'll probably play it more than she will. Wow playing this thing really makes me realize how crappy my electric is lol.

MBS 12-07-2005 05:54 PM

I wasn't too big on Lennon's solo career, I was a Harrison type of guy, so I have the soundtrack from the movie Imagine and Acoustic.

I'm both:cool:

And I like what I've heard of Paul's solo career too, but I prefer John's and George's solo careers to his. As for Ringo, It Don't Easy and Photograph are great songs but I don't know any of his other solo stuff. I would doubt that it would be as good as the solo work of the others, but all The Beatles did play with Ringo in his solo career so it's probably pretty good.

Well, maybe if some people uploaded more John Lennon, I'd like him more.....

Krabsworth 12-07-2005 09:02 PM

Just think, 25 years ago Lennon was probably sitting back and watching Johnny Carson, without any knowledge of the things to come :(

magicbus 12-07-2005 09:41 PM

I'm a solo Harrison guy. Kinda a solo McCartney guy. Not really a solo Lennon guy.

Illmatic 12-07-2005 09:43 PM

And Marvin Gaye would die less than four years later :(

I don't know why I associated those two, but hey.

Seafroggys 12-07-2005 09:48 PM

^^^Too bad the Tonight Show isn't on Sundays though

EDIT: to krabsworth

To quote Spat Out Plath, the world was certainly a less Gaye place without him.

JonG 12-08-2005 07:47 PM

Hello.

I haven't listened anything Lennon yet, possibly because I'm lazy. I'm sittin' here listening to Wake of the Flood eating chips.

..

MBS 12-08-2005 07:51 PM

I just typed in Lennon on iTunes, skipping all Paul tracks.

WelcomeToTheMachine 12-08-2005 07:51 PM
