You already lost your chance Futuro. You decided you were gonna move to California or something lame instead.

And I have no money so I can't afford rent sorry Aaron.

Aaron 01-10-2007 09:16 PM

Brokensticks 01-10-2007 09:19 PM

Rush is a very talent filled band. Great bass, guitar and drums, it's not like just one is very good at what they do.

I reckon his shuffles are triplet stuff is easier than constant 16ths like most.. but that's cause I'm a tired old jazz-fusion player
:chug: *noodle, noodle, wears-a-tie*

Futuro 01-10-2007 09:20 PM

I lived with two guys when I first graduated highschool that were really good at there instruments.

*noodle, noodle, wears-a-tie*[/QUOTE]I dont listen to much metal at all hahaha. I only get thrown into so many metal bands because I have the "unkept" look with long hair etc. People think I sit in my house all day listening to cradle of filth or something.

Albiet, I do like Cynic, Athiest and Death >___>

that's what fans want to see though. and it has changed in areas. it's the same basic concept, where it's almost a history of music played out through the different parts, but it has changed some. there are also improv. sections.

if you listen to the versions in the 80s and then to the ones in the 90s and then now, you'll see certain changes.

either way, i'm not here to get into a peart debate.

Aaron 01-10-2007 09:22 PM

I want to rent with a piano player and make them teach me as rent. 3-hours of lessons per week for free rent'd be a great deal I reckon.

_Wrathchild_ 01-10-2007 09:23 PM

Hey I play piano

I listen to abit, not as much as TTTSNB [kekeke] but enough to be able to teach a youngin' what metal is meant to sound like. But yeah, triplets are easier for me cause i'm used to the clave-foot stuff.

Cameron: then i'd have to buy a piano. If I get someone to rent who owns one, then they'll bring one =]

Brokensticks 01-10-2007 09:27 PM

I am getting my grandma's piano because she doesn't want it anymore. I plan on learning.

_Wrathchild_ 01-10-2007 09:29 PM

It's gonna suck when I move out and have no piano :(.
I don't wanna buy a keyboard. I'm too cheap and I like real pianos better.

Aaron 01-10-2007 09:29 PM

My mate has an upright AND a baby-grand in his room. the end of his bed is under the grand and the upright blocks his desk from being uses

Kelsey; I have no kit at the moment. I have the sickest practice setup though

\m/ RhthymTech Laptop, 8" Rubber Practice Pad, 12" Rubber Kick-Pad and soon to add a 12" Rubber Practice pad as a floor tom. \m/

Brokensticks 01-10-2007 09:31 PM

yah mine is pretty cool.

You were gonna get an e-kit sometime, right?

So does that mean you can't have an acoustic kit in your apartment like ever? That would suck. When I move out, I already know where I'm staying (assuming I go to the University I'm planning on going to now), and I'll have plenty of room for my instruments, drums included.
If I end up going to a different school though, I dunno where I'm gonna fit my drums and harp and stuff :(

Aaron 01-10-2007 09:48 PM

I have a room at my parents still with my kit and other stuff [storage costs too much] but i'm buying a TDK3 soonish.. laptop first though.

Aaron 01-10-2007 09:51 PM

Dell FTW!

edit: work paying for a dell and me claiming you FBT ftw!

Aaron 01-10-2007 10:01 PM

fringe-benefits tax. Where you get goodies from work and have to declare them and pay tax. I get dells at 70% of retail + get to not pay tax on them.

stevensonmat2 01-10-2007 10:09 PM

cutsom rig ftw

Aaron 01-10-2007 10:09 PM

It works out to be like 60% of retail, so i'm happy. I prefer Intel-based too for my reporting stuff, moves smoother.

Aaron 01-10-2007 10:12 PM

^ I do that most days. Stupid waiting for things at work means that I post alot.

stevensonmat2 01-10-2007 10:12 PM

When I became single again I made like a big list of a whole bunch of requirements that my next guy had to have, expecting to never ever find this guy and be single forever.

And then I found that guy like a couple weeks later and was like wtf it exists?
And yet I'm still single.
