When i first looked at that i thought it was some rafting day for disabled kids or something. Does that make me a bad person?
:lol::lol::lol::lol:

Best post i've read in ages.

AG 08-16-2010 04:03 AM

Squirrel 08-16-2010 04:09 AM

Have you left work now AG?

Kuffuffled 08-16-2010 04:13 AM

lol the guy in the back is awesome

I never used to radio in Silent Hill, the creepy fight music comes on when there's dudes around

The 3rd one is a mind fuk

benfan 08-16-2010 04:16 AM

I think we should all agree that RE1 is the greatest of all survival horror games purely because of the fantastic voice acting?

Squirrel 08-16-2010 04:37 AM

As I was reading that I was like wtf engage arguement mode but you swayed me with the voice acting.

There's a brilliant vid on youtube of it.

benfan 08-16-2010 04:39 AM

Stop it!....Dont open...THAT DOOR!

Squirrel 08-16-2010 04:46 AM

Here Jill take this LOCKPICK, i thought it would of some use as youre a master at PICKING LOCKS.

jaklyons 08-16-2010 04:53 AM
dodongo's cavern* to answer jakylons.
lol wut :smash:

Sorry dude, Dodongo's Cavern is super easy. And it's right near the beginning of the game.

Squirrel 08-16-2010 04:56 AM

Junooni is kinda a retard tbh.

I remember finding the last couple of temples onward quite hard, though there was a step up in skill once you were an adult and started the temples.

The_Mop 08-16-2010 05:13 AM

Sup bitches. Just got back from Bloodstock. Was awesome.

The past few pages - Zelda OoT is goddamn awesome, Dead Space isn't scary so fails as a horror game, same with RE4 but has awesome gameplay anywho, havn't played Silent Hill and I think I might need to

benfan 08-16-2010 05:17 AM

Mop did you watch Sylosis?

Squirrel 08-16-2010 05:28 AM

You really didn't find any of Dead Sapce scary, tense, atmosphereic etc Mop? I find it .. not hard to play but .. i dunno, i cant just run around and run through rooms and stuff.

I generally walk everywhere, keep my back in a corner etc.

benfan 08-16-2010 05:31 AM

Il be honest. The first bit where you have to escape down the long corridoor to the elevator with the Necromorph chasing after you did bad things to my underwear. That bit was incredible.

Squirrel 08-16-2010 05:35 AM

Yeah that bit got me. It has a lot of moments like that, like when you're in the hydroponics section and hte plants automatically water themselves - made me jump. Clever use of an odd sound effect to unsettle you.

benfan 08-16-2010 05:38 AM

I think i left it just after i had killed the captain, that weird moth thing that kept bringing all the bodies back to life. I should complete it before the new one comes out.

Squirrel 08-16-2010 05:39 AM

Yeah they're called Infectors, and they can be a bastard. If you mutilate all the bodies in an area prior to them appearing they're no hastle.

benfan 08-16-2010 05:41 AM

What system do you play on?

The_Mop 08-16-2010 05:41 AM

Benfan - no. Not really heard of them, they any good? On another bloodstock note, managed to get a shitload of stuff signed. Got a Deliverance CD signed by Opeth, got my ticket signed by Devin Townsend and got a programme signed by Gojira \m/

Squig - not at all. Moderately atmospheric (but not a touch on the likes of S.T.A.L.K.E.R) but honestly didn't find it scary or tense at all. I dunno why, but I find it hard to be scared by games. But for me, Dead Space's only real saving grace was the reasonably good gameplay (as the plotline wasn't much more than a particularly ham-fisted attempt at copying 2001).

benfan 08-16-2010 05:45 AM

Yeah you should check them out. Wicked band from Reading, if your into more heavy thrashy metal. Really contempory though, not like Evile kinda thrash.

On the Opeth note, what is Blackwater Park like? I nearly bought it the other day, never listened to them before.

Squirrel 08-16-2010 05:47 AM

I've seen Sylosis live.

I play on Xbox 360.

I don't really like opeth.

The_Mop 08-16-2010 05:48 AM

Not massively into thrash but I'll give it a go. Have seen a lot of people wearing their shirts e.t.c, must be getting fairly big...

High points of Bloodstock really must be the Devin Townsend Project and Gojira, they were so goddamn awesome. Even with the massive sound issues plaguing nearly everyone...

Blackwater Park is one of their best tbh. I'm not familiar with earlier albums but apparently that album was pretty much the turning point for their style from then on. Also has steve wilson doing vocals every now and again o.O

But yeah, awesome album. Would definitely reccomend.

benfan 08-16-2010 05:48 AM

What did you reckon?
Their singer has left so its the lead guitarist who has taken over vocal duties. Awesome guitarist.

You go online much?

Mop checkout their debut Conclusion of an Age, one of the best metal albums of 08 imo

Squirrel 08-16-2010 05:50 AM

I really enjoyed them, was only a quid to see them too haha. Aren't they on In At the Deep End records?

I'm on the free month trial thing atm, i dont play games online tbh.

benfan 08-16-2010 05:53 AM

I think so, im not too sure though.

Ahh right. The teaser for the new Bioshock was released the other day so im tearing my scalp off in anticipation! The new COD and MoH are released soon too.

The_Mop 08-16-2010 05:55 AM

This page of the 'Lod - brought to you by Benfan, Squig and Mop Co.

Still havn't played MW2. I know a cheeky bugger who bought 5 copies at sainsbury's with staff discount, then sold them to CeX for a fiver profit XD

Squirrel 08-16-2010 05:56 AM

I really dislike FPS games on consoles so they dont really appeal tbh. The new bioshock trailer looks aweseom, really awesome, but so did the other trailers and those games didnt wow me too much :(

I think they are, i only know that really cause i know Send More Paramedics. Well, my friend knows them and i've met them a few times.

benfan 08-16-2010 05:57 AM

MW2 is fun, but there are alot of things that were rushed about it. Battlefield BC2 is a better MP game. The campaign for MW2 is incredible though, so many jaw dropping set peices and moments.

Never listened to them Squig what are they like?

Squirrel 08-16-2010 06:00 AM

They fused metal, hardcore and punk, along with a massive zombie theme. They started out as a local band here then just got better and better, ended up churning out 3 albums. Toured with the Offspring, played Leeds fest etc.

Some of their material can be a bit weak but then some is just immense.

benfan 08-16-2010 06:03 AM

Il have to check them out. I still need to get Cynics new release, but i dont know if 5 're-imagined' songs are worth £13

Squirrel 08-16-2010 06:41 AM

Just downlaod it mate.

benfan 08-16-2010 06:45 AM

Whats it like?

Sad But True 08-16-2010 07:00 AM

Weren't some of the guys from Send More Paramedics in And None Of Them Knew They Were Robots?

Squirrel 08-16-2010 07:08 AM

Yus they were, though I never heard any of their music or knew them when they were doing that.

Squirrel 08-16-2010 07:08 AM
Whats it like?
Haven't heard it tbh mate, at least I don't think I have. Is it just the remastered songs?

Cause i've heard a remastered version of 'How Could I?'

benfan 08-16-2010 07:11 AM

My bad, I thought you said you had downloaded it. I probably will do eventually, im having a pain in arse trying to get Cubase to do what i want it to at the minute.
Usually if i download something and like it i buy it anyway, that way i know im not gonna have Lars Ulrich kicking my door down.

AG 08-16-2010 08:30 AM

Crap the Lod is moving fast!

Squiggs; Yep, I quit my job the other day. Currently networking at church, to get me a new one.

The opening scene of Dead Space scared the bejeepers out of me.

Currently watching The Dark Knight, watched Batman Begins before, I'll probs watch the animated one that came in the Batman Begins box set too.

Gonna play some Oot inabit, I'm up to the ultra tricky water temple.

In terms of the photo, the guy in the back was the leader/guide. Pretty funny - 8th grade history teacher/extreme sports enthusiast.

He looks like a goose, though.

Just done a load of weeding, and harvested my first two cherry tomatoes! Unfortunately I started planting the veggies late this year, so I'm gonna have mainly green tomatoes - which will go into a green tomato chutney, along with some of my father-in-laws chillies.

Squirrel 08-16-2010 08:59 AM

Networking at church as in .. church?

How come you left? i mean, why didn't you get a new job before leaving this one?

AG 08-16-2010 09:06 AM

I left because I didn't want to do that job for a second longer.

And aye, church. Became a Christian a few weeks ago.

Also, can someone American please explain this whole juggalo thing?
