Very much so. I bought it, and got a bunch of other parts thrown in: Mavic wheels, dia-compe brakes, ofmega cranks, cinelli stem and handlebars....

Nice, dude.

I think once I have more income coming in, I am going to build up a new bike. I was thinking about building up a Cinelli Vigorelli frame, but I don't know.
Meh. I've played 35s with 135 Bs and been disappointed. There's still more to it :)

On another note, just installed Sonar 8, and after figuring out how the hell to install the damn thing with all these patches and ISO things I've never used before, I get the following when I try to start it up:

SONAR is not properly installed. Please reinstall it using your original CD.

What the actual hell is this all about. Google is telling me nothing.
What you need to do is ignroe the patches and find the new serials that have been released on the Pirate bay. Just find the torrent and search the description of the comments and it'll be there somewhere :)

Epidemechanical 09-18-2009 09:34 PM

dude do NOT use pirate bay wtf

Jaded 09-18-2009 09:48 PM

why

Epidemechanical 09-18-2009 09:49 PM

are you unaware of the massive cases pending against it in several countries?

EDIT: idk the progress of them though

Jaded 09-18-2009 09:54 PM

Lol I wasn't aware they would have the resources to charge the thousands of people that have used Piratebay.

It just usually seems to be the least cluttered torrent site I've seen and I know I've seen the serials there.

Epidemechanical 09-19-2009 12:02 AM

just did a superset workout

doing it every single day now i think really upping my training

routine that i just did took about an hour and a half/2 hours

4 sets of each exercise: (a superset btw is when you compound two FULL exercises for the same muscle together with no rest in between)

TRAPS: 12 shrugs at 120 lbs+12 upright rows at 120 lbs
BICEP/FOREARMS: 8 bicep curls at 80 lbs+8 wrist curls at 80 lbs
SHOULDERS: 8 rear neck shoulder presses at 80 lbs+10 shoulder flies at 15 lbs
TRICEPS: 12 skullcrushers at 40 lbs+12 overhead extensions at 40 lbs

my muscles literally do_not_work right now

funkyhoney 09-19-2009 12:05 AM

Well I'm about to go to work and don't finish till 11.30 tonight... YEAH!

Epidemechanical 09-19-2009 12:48 AM

my new diet

Breakfast: 4 eggs (1 yolk, 4 whites) on 1 piece of whole wheat fiber+ toast
Early Lunch: Lunchmeat sandwich (same bread as above)
Lunch: Yogurt and cottage cheese
Late Lunch: 1 can of tuna and a baked potato (4 minutes in the microwave)
Dinner: 1 chicken breast 1 vegetable
Post Workout: Protein shake (12 oz skim milk 2 scoops whey protein)

the general rule of thumb is 6 meals a day, each with 1 protein and 1 carb (and 1 fruit or vegetable a day as well.)

1 protein = roughly a fist size of whatever i'm eating. so when I eat cottage cheese for my protein, I buy containers or use an amount that is roughly the size of my fist.

1 carb follows the same rule, as does vegetables and fruit.

I don't count calories or grams of protein, but I do avoid fat at all costs. IE not eating the yolk of eggs, peeling the skin off the chicken, etc.

Mr. Pickle 09-19-2009 02:03 AM

I just got back from a 4 hour bike ride. idk

Jaded 09-19-2009 03:40 AM

that much protein is usually a waste, and can f*ck up your digestive system. this guy I used to lift with was totally into eating sh*tloads of protein with a normal amount of fiber and he got so blocked up he had to have surgery. I'd be wary of eating 80+ g's of protein in a day unless you are huge. my buddy was pretty jacked too, he benched 350 and curled 50 pound dumbbells

are those exercises on machines? machine's limit your range of motion and generally just suck. they also give you an inflated sense of how strong you are. on a bench press machine I can rep like 190, but normally the best I can rep is like 170.

my diet consists of fruits and vegetables throughout the day, oatmeal in the morning, cottage cheese throughout the day, chicken or fish with lunch and dinner, and rice. sometimes I eat eggs, but never more than one a day. they are way too high in cholesterol to be eating more than that. i usually just drink water, v8, and skim milk, and the occasional beer

Pluperfect_Arson 09-19-2009 03:44 AM
curled 50 pound dumbbells
lol'd

Curling 50lbs is ****.

Also, to mantain muscle mass, you need, at least, 1g of protein/pound of body weight roughly. If you are looking to build muscle, you need 1.5 - 2g of protein/lb of body weight.

NEED MOAR SQUATZ, BRO

Jaded 09-19-2009 04:01 AM

one gram per pound of body weight are you high? I'm gaining muscle off a diet that consists of roughly 60-70 grams a day and I weigh like 160. 50 pounds is most definitely not sh*t. it's not impossible, obviously, but for someone who is 5'7 and probably weighs somewhere in the 160 range, it's not half bad. you know the difference between a barbell and a dumbbell right? dumbbells are the one's you hold in each hand, guy. biceps are a stupid muscle to get that big anyway, they really don't help that much and everybody will think you're gay

dude who told you to eat more grams than you weigh, esp 1.5 to 2 that's insanity. so if I wanted to bulk up i'd need to eat 320 g's a day? do you realize how much food that is? you could eat 50 eggs and still not have enough. that's like sumo wrestler status right there

no you're incorrect

the basic 101 formula for muscle gain is getting enough protein. its very important that you do

1 gram for every pound of lean body mass. so if you're like me and 225 lbs with 20% bodyfat at 6'1'', then you probably want around 160/180 grams of protein.

protein is absolutely critical.

Also, the only part of eggs that are high in cholesterol is the yolks. Hence, I only eat egg whites. Did you not actually read my diet plan or something lol

It's clear you don't know much about nutrition if you think it's radical to eat 1 gram of protein per 1 lb of lean body mass. Nothing shocking, dangerous, or revolutionary about that. It's the BASIC diet of anyone who lifts and trains seriously.

I'd never recommend eating over 200 grams of protein a day unless you're a SERIOUS bodybuilder, just because it's a waste of money (lol) and your body can't process that much unless you SERIOUSLY train hard.

further

You can easily get 180 grams of protein without over-eating. Whey protein shakes alone have only 200 calories, and 52 grams of protein. A can of tuna has roughly 150 calories, and 25 grams of protein.

Not hard, dude.

eh

thats not really what you should be aiming for, that's a pretty poor way to balance nutrition

you want to balance your diet based on heavy foods like protein and carb intake

funkyhoney 09-19-2009 11:17 AM

I know I don't eat as healthy as I should. I eat nothing but carbs virtually. And empty calories. In a few years I'll start caring more.. maybe. I still exercise at least so I don't feel bad about it :p

Anyway, I have an epic day planned tomorrow.

Epidemechanical 09-19-2009 11:22 AM

exercising really won't do MUCH without a good diet

a good diet is the main reason people lack results

Mr. Pickle 09-19-2009 11:26 AM

So I'm going to see the Pixies in Chicago in November. Who else? No one? We'll you're all gay.

gaslight 09-19-2009 11:26 AM

I'm not really aiming for any kind of diet in particular so I don't fuss too much over it.

i'm not into bodybuilding so i never heard that rule. i gain muscle mass easily from a normal diet, so i've never needed to eat sh*tloads of protein. i wasn't trying to show you up or anything, i was just giving you a heads up to be careful and make sure you are getting enough fiber, because that's commonly overlooked by weightlifters who think the key to getting huge is eating massively disproportionate amounts of protein

Cinelli makes damn light stuff, I'm kind of disappointed that the handlebars I got aren't drops, but my friend wants them for his bike anyway, so they'll go to good use.

I really hate the different size and thread standards for Italian stuff though.
It's still not as bad as Swiss "standards." They basically just change the thread pitch on the bottom bracket by a tiny amount, and suddenly you can only have swiss parts.
