The movie "Reign Over Me" looks pretty good.

Anyway, thoughts about hollowbody basses? I'm really thinking about picking up an Aria 1220 cause I found one on the cheap. I'm just not sure if I really want it.
i just saw that movie.

it was good.

Aerodyne 03-23-2007 11:51 PM

It does look pretty cool, actually. My first thought when I saw it was, "Manson?"

Les Claypool's dad on the upright:

He has a solo about 1:10-ish.

SlincoJ 03-24-2007 12:05 AM

Oh shi marimba queens.

Aerodyne 03-24-2007 12:07 AM

That's probably the most active b&w bass solo I've seen lately. He was totally wailing on it. :amaze:

Jody LeCompte 03-24-2007 12:14 AM

It reminds me of Marcus Miller. Not really in his style of playing per say but the feel he gets. It's like his arms and fingers are welded to the instrument, but he still has rhythm and phrasing.

Aerodyne 03-24-2007 12:17 AM

Yeah, I can see what your saying. Plus, he's a maniac! His arms are just flying all over the place in the beginning! :amaze:

Thunder Fingers 03-24-2007 02:26 AM

"keep your fingers close to te fretboard"...

Uk road users beware!

Criss Frantic 03-24-2007 05:58 AM

Did you get a lackland Adam?

blizzard 03-24-2007 06:00 AM

yeah Admiral Huffington... its a Joe Osborn 5. Sweet as! Love the feel and I reckon it sounds nicer than the 5502 i was originally trying (though they had Barts and I was going for Lakland Elecs).
