hmmm...It's not as elite Maryland doom as you're used to, but you might. Email?
|
baerwitness@yahoo.com
it better be elite |
Riffs are elite, vocals are not, drums are not. Sent :p
|
Thanks man.
|
The drums aren't bad, and the vocals are good when they're sung.
But yeah the riffs are perfect. |
I'd been playing drums for like 4 weeks when that was recorded, so I'm pretty wary of their quality. Hehe. It's basically just intended to be a riff/guitarfest.

Can I get a copy pate?
guitrguy@gmail.com |

Now I'm interested too, I have one of your older albums with the programmed drums.
Could you sent me a copy too? johanvanmook @ gmail.com |

Txus: No, i don't like Burning Witch :( :) |
Pate's band on metal archives: http://www.metal-archives.com/band.php?id=59970

Actually, f this. I'm the copyright holder, so I'm just going to post the link here.
As I said before, don't be expecting good vocals... http://www.megaupload.com/?d=GBM6FU0Y |
Pate, as most of the others have said, badass guitar and the drums are pretty solid
You might want to recruit a vocalist though :p |
the2stranger: Nice Avatar... you don't want me to start talking about Arcturus. They are fabulous... Sideshow Symphonies is probably my favorite albums of all time (in the NOT doom genre). A great drummer, with great musicians, and great atmosphere, and wonderful music. Don't get me wrong, the album isn't perfect, but I think a not perfect album is much more enjoyable, then a perfect one!
Oh yeah and just so you people know, the mastermind behind arcturus (keyboardist), has a side project called Spiral Architect... and this music IS crazy! People who like progressive music, with a lot of other genre influences (but it's mostly metal), I urge you to check it out! oh, and it's not the usual Dream theater Prog, trust me!!! (ok, this was a bit of topic) :(
You're also an Arcturus fan? Great taste. :thumb: I think The Sham Mirrors is my favorite, but actually all of their stuff is great. Too bad they broke up. But atleast I got to see them and shaked hands with some members. :)
I just got Nadja - Radiance of Shadows, pretty cool stuff.
Good stuff. It's a good release. I live the firsttrack. I think the accoustic dissonant guitar stuff on the title track is a bit annoying. but once it breaks loose it's great. Like ambient drone meets black metal. np: Doom:Vs - The Faded Earth This is very good stuff actually.:) |

Pate, your riffs ****ing rule. I like how you made it so obvious that you wanted to emphasize the guitars. The drums and vocals are pretty low in the mix.
|
Any of you guys like Tiamat? I have Clouds and it's really good.
|

Nicely sad :D AlienEater: What kind of Doom??? the2stranger: Arcturus equals a god. They are fantastic. And from what I know they had one or two brake ups before... soo i'm hoping (really hoping) they will reform again! and continue... it would be a waste. I only watched the shipwrecked in Oslo... and that's great stuff... although Hellhammer (drummer), made some smaller mistakes, which is a bit odd... I thought he was a machine... guess not! (or maybe drunken machines make mistakes???) hehe TnG |
Man, I just found this new doom band called God's Tower. They're not new (I think this album is from '97), but it's great traditional doom. I think they're billed as Pagan Doom Metal, but it's killer.

Haha thanks.
Any of you guys like Tiamat? I have Clouds and it's really good.
I only have Wildhoney, and it's fantastic.
Downloads. We shoulda made a split back in the day.
Haha yes. |

yeah i forgot how manly the guitars sound
|
Listening to Wraht of Ragnarok now. This sounds a lot betten then the other album I heard from you guys Pate. Guitars are really nice instead of al over the place. Keep it up.
|
Does Gorilla Monsoon belong in here?
|
I listened to thenew song on your Myspace Pate.
It's nice, except for the vocals. But no need to rub it in I guess. It's not bad, but more actual singing would improve it. :) Keep up the good work. DOOM ON!!! |
