You're pathetic, you do realize that? It's the internet bro.

Normally trolling is supposed to be funny, not just poor attempts at personal attacks.

NemesisDivina 01-24-2008 03:58 PM

So I downloaded As The Roots Undo today based on pixie's and john's reccomendations last night. I'm pretty glad I did, this album is amazing.

pixiesfanyo 01-24-2008 03:59 PM

see, i really like that record. but i'm rarely in the mood for it. i would say it is the best example of an emo record that is able to attract 'metal' fans though.

i am the robots 01-24-2008 04:00 PM

It's got some pretty mettle-y moments, a lot in Kill The Switch and A Non-Objective Portrait Of Karma.

Ed Wood 01-24-2008 04:00 PM

i still need to jam that havent in awheile

wait. wait. wait. it's the internet bro, but you're the one who posts in a thread about reporting problems, because i'm making fun of your cliched attempt at making metalcore half assed with Retiredat21 who seriously likes white power black metal.

okay,

Iluvatar 01-24-2008 04:01 PM

It got me into emo (with Cryonics) and I dont know, I can listen to 80% of it at anytime.

I know its got plenty of problems, but all the good parts of it make it so good for me.

Plus (when I saw them live) they were really good and the crowd was so into it.

edit: this is all about ctts not a faggy *** internet argument sorry

#1. I didn't write the music, I just screamed over it
#2. one of the songs on the page was written by our guitarist while he was in 10th grade
#3. looking back on that project, we laugh at how much of a Through The Eyes Of The Dead rip-off it was, but it was still a hell of a lot of fun to play the shows we did
#4. melodic death + breakdowns =/= metalcore
#5. I wish we had more recordings of that material, with the lyrics listed and everything for every time people thought we took ourselves seriously.

pixiesfanyo 01-24-2008 04:03 PM

I don't think it really has that many problems. It is probably one of the most concise 'albums', I've ever heard. I just don't listen to it very much is all. I mean, I definitely think it deserves the praise it gets.

why are you defending yourself?

it's just the internet.

Its got some serious problems with production and some of the pacing and the transitions in the songs.

I just think those don't really tarnish it at all.

i am the robots 01-24-2008 04:05 PM

I'm just pointing out why your points aren't very insulting.

Ed Wood 01-24-2008 04:06 PM

stinky mcstinkface
I'm just pointing out why your points aren't very insulting.
oh, well i mean.. you were obviously in the band, so..

i can't think of anything really more insulting than that.

i am the robots 01-24-2008 04:10 PM

it was really enjoyable, whatever

and i absolutely love the later material that we had written

NemesisDivina 01-24-2008 04:11 PM

It was really hard for me to get used to the screaming on it at first, but I'm pretty good with it now. I haven't stopped listening to this since I downloaded it, I'm not even sure if I have any favorite songs off of this, they're all so damn good.

SubtleDagger 01-24-2008 04:12 PM

if you dont care then why get all bent out of shape over someone talking about it

i am the robots 01-24-2008 04:12 PM

I'm not bent out of shape over it at all dude

The screaming's really aggressive and dirty sounding.

I hope the newest song they have been playing live isn't* what the whole album is going to be like.

The back-and-forth screaming is what made CTTS before. The new song is cool but lacks that sing-along jams.

Ed Wood 01-24-2008 04:13 PM

nah kathy kind of sucked

i am the robots 01-24-2008 04:14 PM

It seems too tame to be CTTS.

NemesisDivina 01-24-2008 04:14 PM
The screaming's really aggressive and dirty sounding.
Yeah, that. But a lot of it was the register for me. I've been listening to a lot of doom and death metal lately so I'm not really used to screaming being that high.

I love the spoken part on Interviews At The Ruins.

SubtleDagger 01-24-2008 04:14 PM

Except you were bitching about trolling and insults on the last page, then getting all defensive, then reverting back to "I dont care" mode

i am the robots 01-24-2008 04:14 PM

The both of you are children.

Try and find the split with pg 99 they did, because "Patchwork Neurology" is a pretty sick song if you liked ATRU.

Just a suggestion though.

i am the robots 01-24-2008 04:16 PM

We're Sustained By The Corpse Of A Fallen Constellation is my favorite CTTS song :o

NemesisDivina 01-24-2008 04:17 PM

I think I'm gonna branch out more into the Screamo genre before going really in-depth with any of the bands.

Iluvatar 01-24-2008 04:17 PM
We're Sustained By The Corpse Of A Fallen Constellation is my favorite CTTS song :o
The beginning of that song is really awesome.

i am the robots 01-24-2008 04:19 PM

I really like the whole lyrical/vocal aspect of the song. And blast beats.

This is exactly where your issue is: you care way too much about what other people like.

I like them, but like, CTTS is better imo. :)

pixiesfanyo 01-24-2008 04:40 PM

nah, dude. i definitely remember you posting korn inspired poetry in the LC in '05.

i am the robots 01-24-2008 04:41 PM

and it's 2008 now :o

I'll admit it, I was a pretty big homo back then, whatever.
