No way, there are way more trashy Metalcore bands that Misery Signals, and they aren't bland, they sound different than the genre, imo.

August Burns Red is definitely one of the worst metalcore bands.

Yeah they're pretty good, but they've had way too many line-up changes. Dave Witte is an amazing drummer, his work with Phantomsmasher/Atomsmasher is bizaaaaaaarre but awesome.

Well, I want to part ways with the junky stuff to clear it out, but I want to get more good stuff first to fill the void.

That's not the point though. I couldn't care less what peopel frown on, because every I know frowns on everything I listen to. I frown on it because it's has no texture, if you know what I mean.

Remember when you were a kid and you liked the like Pop songs or Boy Bands or whatever, or maybe you didn't, but the point is you look back and you say to yourself "I Listened to that?" in complete disbelief. That's what I'm kinda doin' now, just not on that level.

haha im sure everyone can relate to that. though now i find instead of my musical tastes changing they just start to grow and expand into things i probably never liked before. when i first heard that one atreyu song with tapping in the intro years ago, i thought they were gods of their instruments hahaha.

the first bands i really listen to are SOAD and the deftones.

they're still 2 of my favourite bands.

I guess metalcore is good for the most part and I like it mostly. The problem is that a lot of the bands sounds just the same, or they're ripping of eachother, like All That Remains who, from my point of view, just tries to sound like killswitch.

But i like most of it though, especially the more chaotic ones like norma jean or DillingerEP and stuff like that.
