I think parents should do that more often. My roomate did a project on the effects of music on the developing mind of children and the results are amazing. Our teacher actually started looking for piano teacher for her son after that. Very cool. :thumb:

Bass Queen:  Great price for an organ, I wish I could find cheap stuff like that around here. :upset:

Any cleaver titles for a midterm?
I was thinking "If this is the midterm, when were the primaries?"

Indeed. I started collecting the anthologies way back when.

I would have to say that Calvin & Hobbes would have to be my all time favourite comic strip.

Same here, I should start picking them up as I find them. But I have no money, so I can't.

Call it the 2nd trimester

(there are only 4 trimesters in a human pregnancy correct?)

The Brad 10-17-2006 01:00 AM

3, hence "tri"mester.

Dennis Chambers was 4ish when he took up the drums...?

LoL "midterm abortion"

Bass Queen 10-17-2006 01:01 AM

tri = 3

Bass Queen 10-17-2006 01:02 AM

By peace I assume you mean piece, or organ. . . ? :naughty:

I've always been a big fan of the peanuts or garfield. Ooh, I've got an idea: Team Syndication! I'm changing my 'tar! *runs to google image*

I can't stand either of those cartoons.

Peanuts for its complete lack of substance and Garfield for the fact that every comic strip is either him being fat, him kicking Odie, him back chatting John.

It gets real old for me real quick.

ebe9 10-17-2006 01:12 AM

Right, I ned to get some work done, so catch you all later.

Cheers

I liked calvin and hobbes because it was funny, now that I am older and I understand a lot more stuff, it is funny and very philosophical and I love philosophy.

I need sleep

Oh come on. :( I loved garfield and friends growing up, and the peanuts. . . well I don't really know what to say about the peanuts but :p.

BenJammin 10-17-2006 07:26 AM

So I talked a lot last night with Jared (jeronimofesto) about having a custom built for me next summer. I'm feeling that I'm being discriminated against as a bass player. I want an 8 string, but the parts are ridiculously expensive. I haven't even gotten a quote about pickups yet.

funkyhoney 10-17-2006 07:29 AM

8 strings? bleh, i don't think i'd want more than 6, im not that much of a soloist.

i also will probably be getting a Cort Artisan B4fl for christmas! woo!

It never ends with my, Ryan. I'll keep increasing the range of my bass until I either stop finding a use for it, or I can't fit my hand around it. The latter is more likely to happen then the first.

funkyhoney 10-17-2006 07:35 AM

yeah, thats like me but instead of extended range i want better versions of what i already have haha

BenJammin 10-17-2006 07:37 AM
yeah, thats like me but instead of extended range i want better versions of what i already have haha
Well, I'm gonna kill 2 birds with 1 stone. Get an 8 string that's better than my 6. Although if the price of the pickups comes back as too expensive, I might be downsizing to a 7 for a while. I sent Delano an e-mail about 10 minutes ago inquiring, so we'll see...

Why did I have to choose such an expensive hobby?!

funkyhoney 10-17-2006 07:41 AM

out of my two main hobbies i think it's a pretty close dead-lock. bass and tropical fish... hmmm

i think 8 strings is getting a bit obsessive, i don't think anyone need that range for like.. anything :S

funkyhoney 10-17-2006 07:57 AM

anyway, i gotta head out, up early tomorrow.

later

AlmightyPancake 10-17-2006 09:13 AM

Is tryxx's bass ever gonna be done?

mfb 10-17-2006 09:26 AM

Yeah, why is taking so long?

Btw, my entire high school was dismissed at 9:00!

how much was it?

Spaceman Spiff 10-17-2006 11:25 AM

Not too bad. Today is my first day at school since Wednesday last week because I was pretty sick for a while... which of course didn't stop me from getting drunk and high with my friends all weekend, but I was still sick. :p

I actually still am a bit sick, but I've missed enough school. Right now I don't have a class, but I do in about an hour.

What's happening with you?

One Groovin Clown 10-17-2006 11:28 AM

I am in class, well it is a tutorial, but I still am in "class". After this I have two hours off and two more hours of class. Busy day for me, four hours of class in total, but longest day.
