imperialblackness 11-08-2009 05:48 PM

No but I plan on buying them in the next couple weeks, prolly gonna use tax return money for plane tickets next year

Txus 11-08-2009 05:49 PM

Hah, awesome. We definitely have to talk about that next year so we can meet. I already have my tickets, I just need to find how the **** I'm going to get there. Probably bus.

ATM 11-08-2009 10:22 PM

didn't you say you were for sure buying them like 2 weeks ago?

imperialblackness 11-08-2009 11:09 PM

yeah I was going to but then I ended up needing to spend that money on groceries and ****

imperialblackness 11-16-2009 11:55 PM

Saw The Red Chord and some jfac last night, it really sucked cause there was a ridiculous long line and the only band we gave a **** about was The Red Chord and there was some delay so they only played for like 14 min. Jfac played Knee Deep then we were like ok time to go. Seen GWAR before so it wasnt much of a loss to miss them

When you bought your tickets did they actually send them out to you, or do you have to keep a receipt thing and pick them up from a ticket booth on the day?

TRC opening was so retarded. JFAC are boring live and GWAR is ****ing stupid, I'm glad I didn't pay.

Stevie 11-17-2009 03:53 AM

ATM 11-17-2009 07:28 AM

Might go to Aidan Baker on Friday. Next week I've got Deceased/ Sacred Oath/ Pale Divine show.

If you are outside canada or the us, which is your case, they just send you the receipt and you have to pick them up that day at the front door I believe.

I just saw Black Cobra and Chylde. It was pretty awesome, the bassist for Chylde used a beer bottle to slide up and down the strings during the intro. Sounded cool. I talked with Jason(lead/vocals) for about 20 minutes before the show. He ended up giving me one of those Southern Lord Resurrection discs, which was nice cause it was one of the last ones there.

I'm going to see Valient Thorr and Red Fang this Friday, Valient is always mega-entertaining live.

gingerfish 11-19-2009 11:23 PM

mastodon, converge and dethklok

gonna see them all at the Palladium in Hollywood tomorrow

anyone else attending? :D

TerranYouApart 11-19-2009 11:30 PM

my buddy went the other night. i was too tired, but he said it was awesome. he got lots of footage, and it's all pretty much note for note. but i'm bummed i missed it.

CatfishJew 11-19-2009 11:38 PM

i went to the columbus, oh show last month.

i didn't get to see high on fire (which is fine by me), converge sucked ***, mastodon was awesome, and dethklok was boring. i'm a fan of the show, but seeing them perform an hour or so of music made me realize how stupid the concept really is. it was so boring i stopped watching the show.

if i were you i'll miss some of high on fire's set, endure the **** converge calls music, watch mastodon, leave before dethklok even gets to set up. just go home and watch the latest episode on adultswim.com like ten times in a row. so you get to beat the traffic consisting of mainly warcraft fags that went to see dethklok and only dethklok.

Matt? 11-20-2009 02:12 AM

i don't know about that... high on fire is pretty mediocre and mastodon is also shitty but slightly less so.

Nepenthe 11-20-2009 01:36 PM

i ended up not even going because i was started thinking what a waste it would be to spend $40 just to see converge and mastodon

this except i could care less about mastodon

The Feeding 11-20-2009 02:14 PM

I saw converge for $13 and could care less about mastodon so I'm good

Nepenthe 11-20-2009 02:43 PM

yeah i saw converge on their tour last year for $15 and that was probably the best show ever

ATM 11-21-2009 02:02 PM

Pale Divine/ Deceased/ Sacred Oath tonight :D

Six Foot Revolver 11-21-2009 03:12 PM

When I saw Converge it was £10 and they were supported by Integrity and Coliseum.

Don't forget to record! :p :p

ATM 11-21-2009 05:52 PM

Sacred Oath and Pale Divine, right?

pate 11-21-2009 06:31 PM

Indeed. But if it comes to it, PD is my preference.

What time is the show?

ATM 11-22-2009 10:13 AM

The show ran LONG. It started at 6 and went to about 2:30.

I missed Acid Queen, a local NWOBHM cover band but apparently they kicked ***.

Recently Vacated Graves was pretty cool. Most of their songs are about zombies. They also did 2 Manowar covers (Battle Hymn ruled). The station manager who the show was in tribute to was drinking mead out of a horn.

Moritifer were a thrash band out of Ohio. They were sweet, I bought one of their shirts. I talked to them about Ohio's metal scene (not much of one). Although you guys have Midnight.

Deceased were great, and had the crowd raging pretty hard.

Sacred Oath kicked ***, really enjoyed them.

Pale Divine didn't get to play until LATE but they didn't disappoint. That was actually my first time seeing them and they blew me away.

I got recordings of Sacred Oath and Pale Divine, I'll up them for you soon man.

Dimmu Burger 11-22-2009 10:16 AM

My wife is friends with one of the Recently Vacated Graves guys. They're a fun listen.

ATM 11-22-2009 10:24 AM

Which guy? The only guy I know is the lead singer/ guitar player who also plays in Burning Shadows.
