DepthsOfDreams555 02-24-2006 05:42 PM

I saw them at Warped Tour and I really want to see them because I really think they would be good live but they really truly sucked and I'm not just saying that because I love them but they were awful. So ya I would love to go to that tour I love all the bands that are playing but I am already going to see TAI and TBS.
I need help here

should i go see Alkaline Trio w/ Against Me! on 4/15 for i believe its $18 at the Starland Ballroom (bout an 1.5 hours from where i reside)

or TBS on 4/25 for $25 at irving plaza (about 45 minutes from where i reside)

I've seen the Trio twice and TBS once like 2 years ago, and I like them both quite a bit - opinions please?
I'd definitely say TBS but I'm not really a Alk Trio fan.
Any chance of going to both? Err... follow your heart? :thumb:

This is the oppisite of pop-punk, but I saw Black Dahlia Murder on Friday. They were amazing.

I accidentally kicked like 573032 people in the face.

Mute Print 02-26-2006 08:31 PM

I saw Black Dahlia Murder in September. It was insane.

DepthsOfDreams555 02-26-2006 08:32 PM

That is impressive, I can't even lift my leg up that high in the first place, if you can kick that many people in the face you are flexible. Sounds sweet.

B 02-26-2006 08:33 PM

Nice Tom.

Long time no see.

DepthsOfDreams555 02-26-2006 08:37 PM

At a Motion City Soundtrack show I totally punched a guy right in the face because he was being a real dick, he turned around and BAM right in the nose I gave him one he was pissed but I pushed my way through some people so I could get away from him. I love mosh pits haha. I usually come out of them bleeding.

Mute Print 02-26-2006 08:38 PM

I go in mosh pits once and a while when the people aren't too big.

I'm afraid of the pit at hardcore shows. I usually go right to the stage or stand as far away from the pit as I can. I'm so afraid to get hit for some reason, which is too bad because the pit always looks fun at a hardcore show.

form 02-26-2006 08:40 PM

I suck at 2-stepping :(

B 02-26-2006 08:40 PM

ahahaha That's awesome. I get pushed around a lot in pits 'cause i'm so small. But one time i cleared a huge circle around me. I just owned a bunch of people and then all of a sudden I was in the middle of an empty circle. It was kind of weird.

Mute Print 02-26-2006 08:42 PM
I suck at 2-stepping :(
2-stepping is mad fun. And you can't really suck too bad at it, seeing as everyone does it a little different.

Same with skanking.

DepthsOfDreams555 02-26-2006 08:43 PM

I have been to two shows that played "harder" music. The Blood Brothers which I was in the complete front because I wanted to be there for Coheed so I really didn't expierince the pit because I was just getting shoved into the bar. I saw Ateryu too and I went in the pit for that and it was INTENSE. I was in one of the circle pits and these guys were HUGE, I got punched in the face so many times. Then at Senses Fail there were a ton of circle pits and there were a lot of gay preppy kids there and pretty boys and there were a lot of tiny kids there too. So I got in some circle pits and did some effin damage.

Brandon: That happened to me at a Fall Out Boy show. haha

I'm small too but I can go insane and I'm pretty powerful kid haha.

I'm very tall.

Next Sunday I'm seeing Through the Eyes of the Dead and The Number Twelve Looks Like You.

We're also beating the **** out of my girlfriends ex boyfriend. I can't wait.

I can't skank/don't know how/have never tried.

2-stepping is hard to suck at

Zach: That's what I did to clear the circle. i was sick of getting pushed by these two huge fat kids so I just went nuts for a sec and then it was empty around me.

Mute Print 02-26-2006 08:45 PM

I've been to a couple hardcore shows (Terror/Bury Your Dead for example) where I've had to go to the stage just to avoid being punched in the face.

Although, being at the stage for a hardcore show = getting jumped on by stage divers.

You can't suck at skanking either.

I'm not spectacular. I look at some kids and have to wonder how many hours they have spent in their room.

You live in Michigan?

Haha, yeah I guess I put it wrong, just can't always get it right, as the way that I wanna do it. I need to practice but there isn't a room in my house that has enough space.

I could practice outside, but I just moved way outta the way, and my new neighbors down here will be like  and will think I'm weird <.<

Its a lot of fun though when everyone is going crazy and 2-stepping though, not where people stand in place and do it. They have to be moving around and running into people, and getting knocked around.

Mute Print 02-26-2006 08:51 PM
Like I said, I've never tried so :-\
Put on some ska and try it. It's not that hard. :p

Oh, I see. It's the same with me.

I two-step and skank through my house though, becuase I'm weird like that.

That sucks, I hate when I can't go to a show cause its a weekday.

:( Just continuing the faces cause there are like 5 in a row.

Mute Print 02-28-2006 03:49 PM

Yeah, if the show was in Buffalo, it'd be no problem, but it's not, so... :(
