That is some funny ****, .
no, that's a stupid rephrasing of a somewhat funny joke he stole from the webcomic Nothing Nice to Say.

I agree with the people who said sing the sorrow was a disapointment. I like Answer that and stay fashionable best.

Bloodlust 07-29-2005 12:41 PM

i like black sails in the sunset the best.

The prayer position is an awsome song.

fluxofpinkmexicans 07-29-2005 06:01 PM

Brain Toad 07-30-2005 02:42 AM

I'm starting to warm up to them. I used to hate them when this kid who was in love with them would tell me to listen to them and they weren't good. But I've listened to Black Sails and All Hollows EP and I've liked what I've heard.

Brain Toad 07-30-2005 02:47 AM

Their cover of Halloween is also miles better than the orginal.

Oz Rembrandt 07-30-2005 05:25 AM

I havnt heard it...

I do have Their covers of Last Caress (the Misfits) and the Hanging Garden (The Cure). Neither are better than the original, but they're still pretty **** good.

Rise Me Up 07-30-2005 12:16 PM
Their cover of Halloween is also miles better than the orginal.
Yes,so are the rest of their covers.

Angry Balled Fists! 07-30-2005 12:36 PM

God called in sick today is their best song imo.

Have you heard any old stuff? Such as,Very Prud of Ya?

Angry Balled Fists! 07-30-2005 12:42 PM

Yes, i have it :-/

Rise Me Up 07-30-2005 12:43 PM
Yes, i have it :-/
Oh. Most people just prefer old stuff,so I thought it was odd.

Angry Balled Fists! 07-30-2005 12:48 PM

Actually, no.

My favourite AFI album is Sing The Sorrow i think.

So, yeah.

cheeser_1 07-30-2005 01:06 PM
Their cover of Halloween is also miles better than the orginal.
absolutely.

as for the dumb fans, i think that after a while, i've just sort of decided that i really don't care what a bands fans do. it's not like the band picks their fans, let alone controls what they do. the fact that they have stupid fans may indicate something about them, their music, or their marketing, but it's not necessarily negative or even important.
God called in sick today is their best song imo.
certainly, thouggh some would argue it has a reputation thanks to the crowdwalking...there's sooo many that make me go "no that one! no, that one's best!" Over-Exposure, Last Kiss, Prayer Position, TBWDTW, Ever and a Day, Of Greetings and Goodbyes, A Story at Three, Now the World, and Synesthesia are all pretty DAMN high up on the list

maco 07-30-2005 09:03 PM
Have you heard any old stuff? Such as,Very Prud of Ya?
oh the old stuff like that is fine, but it sort of has the "silly punk" thing. I like the depth of the post-Advent-of-Jade stuff, though it was starting to appear while Mark was there, especially in the A Fire Inside EP, but a little in SYMAOYE too.

maco 07-30-2005 10:13 PM

I was just watching a Quicktime version of TLSP2 and realized there's a guy floating. I never saw it before (thanks to Windows Media's crappy resolution).

Anyone know what that's about?

Maybe he's diving into the pit or something?

If not, then that's really weird.

maco 08-01-2005 08:48 PM

no, he's just floating....i found out that apparently the director just superimposed a slow-mo during editting

cheeser_1 08-01-2005 11:37 PM

yeah, it's definitely slow-motion, but it looks to me like he's just slow motion jumping (off a trampoline or something).

Yeah, I even have a vinyl of Answer That, but I still prefer the later stuff. Albums like Shut your Mouth, Black Sails, and Art of Drowning.

albert_bass 08-02-2005 09:13 AM

Art of drowning is awesome, my favorite album by them.

honkybrewster 08-02-2005 09:14 AM

Mine too!
