And tickets costed me $20 per person when I saw them in October.
Yeah, and then he tried to make it like he liked senses fail in an attempt to make more reasons for him to go. SF will probably just play stuff from the new album and bloody romance, no point in going.

$20....pretty cheap.

Bloody Romance is a good song though. He sounds like a desperate kid.

The entire Depths of Dreams EP is amazing. The CD is horrible, however.

The new comic is out!!
It's supposed to go over DIJC and Everything Evil. That should be cool.

Electric Ocean 07-03-2005 06:29 AM

Does anyone know how many comics there will be? I assumed there would be one for each album but obviously not.

Also, I was going to order the new comic but it's only availible at Hot Topic and apparently they don't ship to the UK.

I think theres supposed to be 5 or 6 for each album. My hot topic is retarded, and theres no comic book stores around here so i cant get them.

So I read the overview on cobaltandcalcium. In devil in jersey city, patrick and josephine, soon to be married, are riding to New Jersey. At the same time, Claudio is with Newo and remembers he ahs to be home, and leaves her. Back to J and P. Along the way to New Jersey, Josephine and Pat stop for some quick nookie. Yes, i just said nookie. So, mid-bone, they are attacked by the "Jersey Boys", a small gang of thugs, and are beaten badly and josephine is raped. Pat calls them bastards, and josephine says she wants to go home.

They immediately go to the killgannon home, and josephine tells what happened. Cambria comforts her, saying that everything would be allright. Coheed has a flashback of patrick popping the question, and some other stuff I cant remember, and then *BAM*, he smashes josephines head with a hammer, killing her instantly. Everyone escapes, and Mayo comes in later with some troops. It is now 2 AM, and Mayo shows his disaproval that one more child is alive. Coheed activates his blades in his arm, killing some of mayos men. A hail of incapacitating bullets makes coheed unconcious, and Mayo's men drag coheed away to the car. Finally, Mayo orders his men to burn the house down.

I cant remember what all happens after this, but it involves mayo and mariah and some other people, i cant recall exactly what happens. I hope that helps.

Holy poop! I can see them splitting before they get all those done, which will really suck, I really wish they'd just concentrate as releasing the whole thing as a book. It would probably only take them a year or two that way at most.

Actually, I heard somewhere that after the second one was released, which it is, there would be a more steady flow of them coming out, so no more long waits between, and that there would be more bi- or tri-monthly releases.

And i think its better to get out a big book for each CD rather than tiny comics also.

CO&CA is personally one of my favorite bands, and that says allot because I am a classic/prog rock junkie. It's kind of funny that I'm really into them because I grew up about 5 miles from their high school and went to their early shows in Nyack at the Backdoor and Olives when they were Shabooty. Nobody believes this but it's pretty sweet that I saw them for free just showing up a couple of times and now I have to get advanced tickets and pay liek 30 bucks to see them. Oh well

Personal favorite songs.... Three Evils, The Crowing, Velorium Camper II, 2113, Everything Evil and Devil In Jersey City.

One of the most uniqe bands to come out in ages

Firecracker 07-04-2005 01:10 PM

This is the story.

*I WILL NEVER DO THIS AGAIN, EVER.*

Right, i thought Co&Ca were a 'sh*tty' screamo band, because people who liked them at the time liked that kind of music. So i never really payed much attention to them or never tried to check them out.
But today, i've been looking for new music, as ever, and i thought, why not, i'll check them out, and fuck me they're good. I'll never diss something until i know what they're like ever again.

There's always the internet.

Coheed & Cambria are probably going to become even more popular with the release of their new album, just because they have immense talent and sophisticated song writing style that is a breathe of fresh air with the kind of garbage that is being put upon the air waves today. I can see them 10 years from now, still being the same kick-ass band as they are today.

Yeah, well I've only heard one song, it seems a tad different than their other stuff, but it's still good.

forget vermont 07-06-2005 10:34 AM

hey, im a huge fan, since like april/may of last year but i never got into the whole story thing, maybe i should check it out...i have a couple questions
is sstb their first cd (because its number 2)?
is "i, robot" on a cd, or is it unreleased?

Electric Ocean 07-06-2005 10:36 AM

Yes, Second Stage is their first album and I,Robot is a secret track at the end of the album, you have to let Godsend Conspirator run on until it comes in a few minutes later. It's the acoustic/electronic track at the end.

Go to http://www.cobaltandcalcium.com , there are massive amounts of story related topics. Electric Ocean covered you're questions.

cobert 07-06-2005 04:27 PM

I go on Cobaltandcalcium for anything story related, i post there very rarely though.

forget vermont 07-07-2005 09:28 AM

cobert 07-07-2005 03:49 PM

It's alright, but it's repetitive. I think it might be from their acoustic days.

I was wondering where youve been.

And has anyone here been a fan since SSTB, or did everyone jump on after a favor house atlantic?

Electric Ocean 07-09-2005 01:29 AM

Well I got into them about a year and a half ago after hearing Devil In Jersey City so I bought SSTB but I wasn't even aware that they had another album until I saw IKSO... online one day and bought it.

MinorThreat 07-09-2005 09:35 PM

the first songs i ever heard from them were casseopia, and hearshot kid disaster and i believe that was back in about march or april of 2003. Then i heard the crowing and thought that it was awesome. i like all of their stuff and im reallly picky when it comes to loving a band.

Reywas 07-10-2005 02:33 PM

I read a comment in rock and metal that Claudio's vocals are earbleeding.Maybe to a die hard metalhead they are but I think he has a terrific voice. Also I would like to ask you guys would I like SSTB if I liked IKSOSE 3?Are they similar?

DJ Ducksauce 07-10-2005 03:48 PM

I think that SSTB is harder to get into than IKSSE:3. It's still great none the less. And it has DIJC.
