el doctor 01-04-2005 07:16 PM

I'm working on a review of Beulah's "When Your Heartstrings Break". I haven't done a review in a long time though, and I haven't even read many reviews lately either. So what's the preferred format now? Paragraphs or track by track?

Bartender 01-04-2005 08:26 PM

Yep, either is fine.

br3ad_man 01-04-2005 08:40 PM

Looks like I ran out of time to do Isis again, unless I get home earlier than I expect. :(

Sorry for putting it off so long, I will make sure that I do it by tomorrow.

ATC 01-05-2005 04:43 PM

Finally did Live- Awake.

thirdeyeblindislit 01-05-2005 07:38 PM

Can somebody review a Amber Pacific CD?

br3ad_man 01-05-2005 07:54 PM

Finished Isis. I hope it was worth the wait.

br3ad_man 01-05-2005 07:56 PM

I don't really want to do Gang Of Four anymore, but I'll still do it if there isn't anyone else who will do it. So, anyone?

SubtleDagger 01-06-2005 12:24 AM

An enthusiastic dibs on Converge's Petitioning The Empty Sky.

Scott Herren 01-06-2005 01:41 AM

I will do Entertainment!. I've been kind of busy, but I will do it when I get a chance.

The Ashtray Girl 01-06-2005 07:11 AM

Ok, Snow Patrol is finally up and can be taken off the first post.

It was. Good review.

Bartender 01-06-2005 02:08 PM

cbmartinez already has dibs on it.

Bartender 01-06-2005 02:20 PM

I was just about to start a review of Hotel California, actually. Feel free, though.

Bartender 01-06-2005 03:10 PM

I'd actually rather someone else did it, so go ahead. I haven't actually started mine yet, and since The Eagles are a band I've been listening to (courtesy of my dad) since I was about 6, I have trouble distinguishing between personal sentiment and actual quality, as well as not having any real idea for what to write contextually. So, feel free :)

Scott Herren 01-06-2005 03:32 PM

The Kinks are the Village Green Preservation Society is now up.

It is also 255 on the Rolling Stone list if you need that.

Iai 01-06-2005 03:38 PM
Other bands I've grown up courtesy of my parents: Bob Seger, Kansas, Boston, Styx, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Bruce Springsteen, Tom Petty... geez, the list could go on forever. I don't think I would be as involved in music as I am today if it wasn't for "getting started early."
My dad was never really around when I was young, so I grew up with my sister's music. Go TLC, 2Pac, and Red Rat!

Edit: Having said that, the first single I ever bought was Let's Get Rocked by Def Leppard.

Ssssssnap

Trace my 'rock history tree' back and they're probably at the roots

Dancin' Man 01-06-2005 04:05 PM

Classical and jazz here. My mom and dad were both music majors, my dad for voice and mom for violin and my sister has gone on to graduate with her masters in cello performance.

Per Ardua Ad Astra 01-06-2005 05:57 PM

My Vintersorg review will be up as soon as i have time to actually do it.

Iai 01-06-2005 06:07 PM

Afghan Whigs review up, and setting sail from the front page.

Happymeal 01-06-2005 06:25 PM

undibs on Straylight Run. I don't have a wealth of time in the next few weeks, and exams are coming up. Sorry for those who were expecting it. Kif should really be the one reviewing this album.

cbmartinez 01-06-2005 07:46 PM

Hey, Dfelon wanna just do a double review a la Miss Machine? Your a great reviewer and I'd really like to see your opinion on it. I'm having some trouble making up my mind about it, so I need a little more time with it. Feel free to go ahead and make the thread and I'll reserve the first post. Just notify me when your going to make the post.

SubtleDagger 01-06-2005 07:51 PM

Hahaha, you haven't looked at Miss Machine lately have you?

cbmartinez 01-06-2005 07:53 PM

Well, it was done with good intentions. It was a shame that Dfelon abstained from Mx for 3 months.

br3ad_man 01-07-2005 01:28 AM

I feel like reviewing the self titled Blink 182 album. Would my comments be helpful or just unnessecary?

theredwonder 01-07-2005 01:33 AM

I got my first review up, Idlewild - 100 Broken Windows. If anyone fancies taking a look that would be great :)

Shadowed Reflection 01-07-2005 01:55 AM
