Withoutthought 11-16-2004 02:58 PM
special in a good way?
Erm...maybe.

JACKROXYOU 11-16-2004 03:44 PM

God we're talkin about N.I.B again. we finished that in like page 5. but w/e.

it rocks its all good

Brew 11-16-2004 03:48 PM

'tis about the devil falling in love with a mortal woman.

And they named it after Bill Wards pen-nib like beard.

And they didn't intend for it to be dubbed Nativity in Black.

facts++

TerryThorne 11-16-2004 05:23 PM

what is a pen-nib?

shadow_stalker 11-17-2004 05:05 AM

i think its the bit of a pen that you use to write with

someone (on these) forums posted in a thread about songs that relate to your life that NIB is the song that most relates to his life, i was pissing myself laughing at that

Josh 11-17-2004 08:24 AM
what is a pen-nib?
no offence but ur pretty dumb if u dont know what a pen-nib is

Lord Abortion 11-17-2004 08:27 AM

yeah ,sorry man, but that's not hard to know

Brew 11-17-2004 10:40 AM

Its the back end of a pencil, sometimes has a rubber/eraser attached to it.

If you see any early photos of Bill his beard looks a bit like one, and on the Never Say Die DVD he has a beard like it again.

shadow_stalker 11-17-2004 10:50 AM

if you watch the video for sabbath bloody sabbath bill looks like he is like 20 years older than everyone else

Brew 11-17-2004 11:00 AM

That video is great

Whereas

The video for No Stranger to Love, is rather crap-tastic.

shadow_stalker 11-17-2004 11:13 AM

yeah that always used to be on scuzz, the song is really bad aswell so its only appropriate that it has a bad video

Brew 11-17-2004 11:17 AM

True.

In one video, I can't remember what song it was for, Sabbath didn't have a bass player.

So they got some random bass-playing dude off the street for the video, then gave him an audition for the band. Apparently he sucked so much they had to get rid of him quickly.

And for the Star Trek fans (like me), the woman who played Tasha Yar in is in the video for No Stranger to Love.

shadow_stalker 11-17-2004 11:25 AM

T.V crimes has an odd video

i bet that bass player got really excited about being in a sabbath video

Brew 11-17-2004 11:35 AM

Yeh, I bet he's like: ''Yeh, I was in a Black Sabbath video back in the 80's ''

And I'm yet to see the T.V Crimes video.

shadow_stalker 11-17-2004 11:38 AM

he probably goes around saying that he was in black sabbath

its an odd video, with a retarded shop keeper

shadow_stalker 11-17-2004 03:14 PM
I don't know, but there's a film called Black Sabbath, it was released in...1922 and it was by Boris somethingsomething.*has forgotten his surname*
i think its boris karloff

*excuse to bump thread*

black_sabbath634 11-17-2004 03:16 PM

yeah that movie is awsome, it matches with the band black sabbath, they would make a great soundtrack for it. and i think it was released in the 60s, cause its in color

shadow_stalker 11-17-2004 03:19 PM

that was probably a remake of it

Brew 11-17-2004 03:21 PM

Yeh, I think the original was released in 1922?

It may be something completly different, but at the moment the date 1922 links to the film in my head.

Vampyre de Mort 11-17-2004 03:22 PM
My favorite would be Paranoid. You should get the "We Sold Our Soul To Rock n Roll" CD.
That CD was awesome! They blew me away when I first heard it, it was like my first time hearing Black Sabbath.

shadow_stalker 11-17-2004 03:25 PM

they were named after the 1922 one, i think tony or geezer says on either last supper or story of... vol 1

sabbathfan37 11-17-2004 03:27 PM
yeah that movie is awsome, it matches with the band black sabbath, they would make a great soundtrack for it. and i think it was released in the 60s, cause its in color
posts 334 and 346 (p.14) have some info on the movie and band name.

shadow_stalker 11-17-2004 03:28 PM

it was probably him that said it

Brew 11-17-2004 03:30 PM
it was probably him that said it
/me checks.
And on the topic of film/song/band name, the song Black Sabbath came first, they named the band after the song. I believe the song was named after the film Black Sabbath.
He referring to that comment?

black_sabbath634 11-17-2004 04:44 PM
it was probably him that said it
