It's ok but they have better mellow songs i.e harvest, windowpane or to bid you farewell.

Favourite riff: The riff that crashes in at 5:14 in [I]Blackwater Park[/I]

Favourite clean guitar part: The intro to [I]When[/I]

Best bass part: 6:40 in [I]Bleak[/I]

Song to sing clean to: Black Rose Immortal ( that one part about 10 minutes in), just because that segment is so great
Song to growl to: In Mist She Was Standing has some cool screams
Favorite Riff: The first electric part of Advent is the first to come to mind.
Clean Part: Black Rose Immortal (the last big clean section)

Song to sing clean to: Bleak (the clean vocal part)
Song to growl to: Master's Apprentice, Demon of the Fall
Favourite riff: The Leper Affinity (the riff which starts at about 2:15)

Yeah opeth really should win that ultimate metal band thing. They have everything all those other bands have and more.

yeah, as someone mentioned earlier, they have consistently been great, i believe the only other group in that poll that deserve the chance to challenge them is iron maiden, but i remember the 'killers' album, and that sucked, so yup, opeth pwn all! :P

Yeah I like Maiden, but now that I am into the godly musicianship and emotion of Opeth, I really can't turn back.

Same here. Excep that I think Still Life and Dam[B][I][/b][/I]nation are equal.

I used to like dam[B][/B]nation a lot, but nowadays I would move morningrise about it. I tend to agree with that list though.

The difference between the albums depends alot on my sort of mood. Just, Blackwater Park and Morningrise are always near the top. I find myself listening to Deliverance probably the least, and I had Orchid for the longest so I have been taking a break from repeated listenings of it. I like them all in different ways I guess

yeah if you have like 20 minutes put on Morningrise and listen to black rose immortal. Transcendent.

I just bought blackwater park and i was amazed by the first song...Opeth has to be one of the most talented bands out there today.

I think they hit the studio, or at least began writing, recently. Late 2005 was what I heard, although I can't say for sure.

You don't like Orchid? Ouch. That's the only Opeth album own so far, but I was hoping to get Blackwater Park and Morningrise. In Mist She Was Standing got me into the band.

I love Orchid. The only one I don't like is Deliverance.

Orchid is good, but I think the songs were a little better crafted as a whole on later albums.
