Methinks seeing him the weight would be awesome. I'm changing to a Christmas avatar.

One of you bump my George Harrison thread from the 3rd page. Badmoon is like the only regular here who actually commented.

Edit- Yeah I suck with Paint

JonG 11-30-2005 07:21 PM

Aoxomoxoa is good. Although I hate the recording quality of AotS.

WotF and BFA are some others I listen to a lot.

So....Cream's reunion was being played on PBS. Anyone else see it? They weren't too good though, Jack and Ginger were playin' pretty good considering their age and Clapton was as good as ever (but that's not that good really) but the vocals were horrible. I know Cream were never known for their great singer but man. I could barley stand them. I guess this would be good for a fan's eyes but me? I'll just stay away from it.

I watched a little bit of it, then went back to watching Magnolia.

I'm really into Meat Loaf lately. I love how ridiculously dramatically over the top his songs are. Bat Out Of Hell is awesomeness combined with spaghetti.

magicbus 11-30-2005 10:48 PM

I watched some of the Reunion.

I really like Born Cross Eyed also.

thickasabrick 11-30-2005 10:54 PM

I missed the reunion on TV...I had a choir concert...

I've been listening to Workingman's Dead a lot lately, I hadn't listened to it in about two or three months before about a week ago.

Hey Illmatic, did Mr. Miyagi (or whatever his real name was) really die? That is truly sad, he was amazing. Since I was just about to leave to do some meditation anyways, I'll just lie and say I'm doing it in his honor.

edit- and on the front page of the newspaper there is always a picture of some celebrity on the top right hand corner, with a caption and saying what page the article is on.....this morning I was greeted by a smiling Jerry Garcia! The article didn't tell me anything new, but I'm glad they wrote such a large article about Jerry and the Dead.

Yea he died last week.

Workingman's Dead is pretty cool. Although there are parts of it that seem off to me, like most Dead music.

You do meditation? Cool beans. I should probably try something like meditation or yoga or whatever, seeing as I have way too much unnecessary stress :(

Well I did give it a chance and I was there for the entire program; why shouldn't my opinion matter at all? I don't hold grudges with bands. I even give Zeppelin fair shots.

Robo: Your write up was incredible. I'd give you some more rep if I could. :)

The Dead have always distributed music. My dad got free albums by them all the time in the mail. They don't care if you're listening to there music for free, just as long as you are. :)

Haha, I've acctually got quite a few bootlegs off that site.

Fnnrqwin 12-01-2005 07:05 PM

Mister Blue Sky and I are at my house recording our rendition of the Traveling Wilbury's "Handle With Care". We'll try to get a recording up as soon as possible.

jpj 12-01-2005 07:07 PM

Man, this whole place is dead...um...I just downloaded a Dark Star Orchestra show from that site. I've never heard them before, but they're supposed to be pretty awesome. They're coming to Pittsburgh again this year, but I'm not gonna be able to make it. I'm also missing Gov't Mule + Tea Leaf Green tomorrow, and Derek Trucks the next day :(

NP: String Cheese Incident feat. Keller Williams-Franklin's Tower

EDIT: And I just found out B.B. King is coming here tomorrow, which I would've probably been able to get my dad to take me too since he's a big blues fan, if I had known about it.

Man, that sucks. Gov't Mule, and Derek Trucks..

:(

I wish I lived where you do.

jpj 12-01-2005 07:10 PM

Actually it sucks big balls here. Luckily, I'm only 45 minutes away from a major metropolitan area (Pittsburgh), which is the only thing I have going for me.

Jefferson Airplane is coming here too and I'm REALLY pissed I can't go to that.

NP: String Cheese Incident-Billie Jean

Leper 12-02-2005 12:21 AM

Why can't you go jpj?

My friend and I were listening to Neil Young for the better half of the night, and I've come to the conclusion that I must collect all his albums.

Harvest and On The Beach are my favorites. I'd definently suggest getting On The Beach. That is an EXCELLENT album.

Now I have to head off to Rockology, because today we're watching Tommy :p

Well, I'm only 15 so I can't drive myself, meaning I have to go with one of my parents. My mom told she's not taking me to anymore until summer, and my when my dad refused to take to Gov't Mule I figured he wouldn't take me to anything else since he actually likes Warren Haynes.

I forgot all about the concert. :upset: Instrumentally the band is better than ever, even if some of the vocals have taken a hit.

So, I'm in computers class right now, but I have to post quick because the teacher is a nazi about going on off topic sites.
