i have that bass, its sat in its case for most of its life. right after i got it i got my fretless(which i love) and i 5 strings have never really grabbed me. i am actaully trying to sell it, anyone wanna buy it???

theres two different things, both run on bateries.
active pups - the pickups are actually powered by the battery

active on-board preamp - still battery powered, but like the preamp section on your amp. pups are still passive
