not much of a thin line fan to be honest
my worst song off BNW probably with the nomad whih is far too long and overblown IMO hard luck stevie... banned for an opinion are we in a fascist forum????
Everyone is allowed to voice their opinion as long as it isn't offensive to anyone... Thin Line is such a great song, it has a cool intro a good rhythm and great guitar work from Davey near the end :thumb: |
an opinion is always offensive to SOMEONE.. he was just unlucky and was offensive to a Christian Mod... nothing he said was that wrong...
I love the thin line.... |
The nomad for me is good...the middle section pwnz everyone.

Very similar to me going 'I hate jews, they are all bad and idiots.' |

Yeah...I think I got most of my 300 rep from this thread. I'm going to see Iron Maiden this summer (apparently they confirmed Reading...) Flame me or follow me, see you there! |
I'd wish they would come down under. I thought it was funny when they tour Australia on the early days and had to play in an outback resturant.
|
The moment it appears on the Maiden site, Reading-bound I will be.
|
Wahoo an Australian. Not many of them in these forums. Yeah Id like to see them in Australia too.
|
well hello folks...
wasted years = good song but a tad mainstream adrian for my tastes methinks Leeds anyone? |
pffff
Reading > Leeds |
I checked maidens official site. They are not coming to Australia. Bugger
|
pffff
Reading > Leeds
reading =far away leeds =close |
They were supposed to be coming Down Under. Dammit!
|
Well maybe they are it just didn't mention it on the site so thats what I assumed.
|
What is the dance of death album like?
|
very
very good paschendale listen now |
Okay. Is the recent tour for that album?
|
this tour will be mostly old (early days) tracks
last tour was DOD 03/04 |
Okay thanks. Do you know if they are going to Australia? Cause Im hoping that they didnt mention it on the site cause it hasn't been anounced yet.

In a word, really good. I'll do my 'thing', shall I?
Wildest Dreams: A good start to the album, at first this song unimpressed me but it's a real grower. Nice high-octane, energetic stuff. Rainmaker: A great song this one, catchy guitar hook, powerful chorus and a good solo. Weird video, but that's life, eh? No More Lies: For me, 'Arry has tried to pull off a certain kind of song from FOTD onwards. He's never quite managed to pull it off, but there has been some worthwhile efforts (Afraid to Shoot Strangers, Dream Of Mirrors). For many people, he finally hit the mark with NML. Personally, I find it drags on a wee bit much, but nevertheless, a god song. Montesgur: This is a real cracker - and not just coz my name's in the title! One of Maiden's heaviest songs in their entire back catalogue, the song this is most reminiscent of is Where Eagles Dare, having that heavy triplet feel about it, but unlike WED, this is slightly slower, and hence bears an extra edge of menace. A great song, with a dramatic chorus (though I've heard the argument that it can be semi-cheesy), but for me second best on the album. Dance of death: Personally, I find this to be the weakest song on the album. It starts of well, great build up etc and then.... it turns Irish. From then on in, there are parts of the song that are great, but all of the highs of the song are nullified by the Irish hook (And then a skirmish started... when your lying in your bed... YOU KNOW THE BIT I MEAN! lol). End result: the song is very.... 'meh'. Though I've been told it's good live. Gates Of Tomorrow: A good song, but very much filler, nothing special, nothing that makes it stick out the crowd particularly. New Frontier: I consider this song to be very much the same as the previous song, and the same applies: bland and nothing particularly special. Paschendale: Best song on the album. This is by far the best Maiden song since 1988, if not earlier (joint with OOTSP, of course. ****, those triplets pwn me :upset:). This is a real epic, with many different parts, each with its own feel, joining and linking together to create something wonderful. This song is worth the 15 quid by itself. Face In The Sand: A great song, this 'un. Great guitar work, and noteworthy for being the only song Nicko's ever had to resort to using a double-kick to record  I know. Shocking. I really like this song. Yeh. Age Of Innocence. This too is a great song, also with different parts, each with it's own feel. Surpassed only by the Nicko version, which was a secret track on the No More Lies EP. Journeyman: Maiden goes acoustic! A great, powerful song, with a sweeping orchaestral backing. Really good stuff. Electric version is better though :P And that's the dance of death album :) |
yeah that album is good
I lold when you described DOD as Irish though no more lies is too overblown for me it drags where eagles dare owns montesegur and paschendale is amazing |
Thanks alot. If it were still around you would definatley be repped. When you say Journeymans electric version is better was that a song on a previous album?
|
right
I need food as I'm on prefect duty so I need to go now so byeeeeeeeee |
cya Abortion.
The electric version of Journeyman is also on the No More Lies EP. The tracklist of the No More Lies EP is: No More Lies, Paschendale (orchaestral version), Journeyman (electric version), and a secret track of Nicko singing Age Of Innocence, which is fair hillarious |
I gotta run to the post office! my Maiden England have finally arrived! :D:D
