because i like talking about music and it's nice to talk about things that i've actually listened to/i like knowing what people like about things or like exposing someone to something new, hoping they'd enjoy it.

just be like me and namedrop stuff nobody cares about over and over until somebody latches on

yeah but holding them hostage to listen to your recommendations is kinda stupid, and a little annoying tbh. whenever i find a really good new band/artist i just say 'just listened to whoever it's really good here's a short description so and so will prob like it'. and whenever anybody asks for recommendations i give them. whether they choose to listen to them or not really doesn't matter to me yknow it's their loss if they don't.

yes secede is great. i wasn't sure what to expect at all with it. you should check out pantha du prince's black noise if you enjoyed secede. the album name makes it sound WAY different than it is. they describe it themselves as 'minimalist house music'. it's so good.

talvihorros is alot more conventional ambient, but it's some of the most well done i've heard in a long time
