I'd recommend their self-titled album. Some good tracks on there.

Volume 3 is good too.

But my favorite albums are the Dio-era 'Heaven and Hell' and 'Mob Rules'.

Blue Collar Man 08-19-2005 09:32 PM

Has anyone here or is anybody going to audition to be Ozzy's new guitarist? I think all you have to do is mail in a tape or something to an address.

rippa32 08-20-2005 01:06 AM

This is about Black Sabbath not ozzy's solo career, usually I would direct you to an Official Ozzy Osbourne site, but there isnt any, so I suggest either making you're own thread.:thumb: And I didn't know he was auditioning again. Oh and classicrockman. When you say Volume 3 do you mean Volume 4 or Master of Reality?
Hey guys, I'm just getting into sabbath right now, I have Paranoid and Sabbath Bloody Sabbath albums, where to next do you think? Their Self Titled?

A fucking wonderful band.
Read the first post of the thread.

I'm 1/4 of the way through writing my Sabbath FA, it should be posted in a few weeks time.

rippa32 08-20-2005 04:39 AM

Yeah I thought youd be the one to get it. Okay this is gonna sound stupid. Whats an FA?

Brew 08-20-2005 04:42 AM

Featured Artist.

I was on Tony Martins website the other day. I downloaded a song from there that was pretty good.

Also, he's bald these days and looks weird.

shadow_stalker 08-20-2005 04:44 AM

Bald Martin? :amaze:

rippa32 08-20-2005 04:48 AM

Well shaved bald you can still see some hair, hey Brum I havn't been to that site for ages and can't remember the link, could you put it up?

His Q&A section is worth a read.

rippa32 08-20-2005 04:58 AM

Thanks. Have you ever heard the solo album he made when Sabbath was doing Dehuminzer? I want it but it was only sold as a limited release.

Brew 08-20-2005 05:05 AM

I've got one song from that album, its pretty good.

rippa32 08-20-2005 05:12 AM

Similair to his work with Sabbath?

Brew 08-20-2005 07:06 AM

Sort of, its less heavy but still rock n roll.

JACKROXYOU 08-20-2005 10:26 PM

of course it is

rippa32 08-21-2005 03:21 AM

Did anyone see that thread about Iron Maiden's problems at Ozzfest? Id hate that to happen to me even though I am a huge Sabbath and Ozzy fan.

No, what problems?

No need to say - have now found it. Silly me.
Sorry

Brew 08-21-2005 03:31 PM

ATTN: Sabbath crew.

I'm leaving.

By leaving I mean posting less.

AA-12 08-21-2005 04:34 PM

Where are you going Andy?

shadow_stalker 08-22-2005 02:43 AM

Why are you going Andy...omg he doesn't love us anymore! :p

Brew 08-22-2005 02:49 AM

I'm going to find something else to do rather than sit at my computer every day/night.

rippa32 08-22-2005 02:54 AM

I suspect a thinly veiled insult.

f0r3v3r_f0rs4k3n 08-22-2005 09:31 AM

black sabbath is the reason I picked up a guitar. Iron man was my favorite song. I can play most of it (not the solos because ive lost the song :(

i am all self taught.

rippa32 08-23-2005 03:36 AM

Thats very nice, I suggest you buy both the debut and Master of Reality, vastly superior to the Paranoid album. Also get a Dio album.

Arucard 08-23-2005 05:33 AM

What do you think the behaviour of the Sabbath crew at Ozzfest was like? Even though your Sabbath fans do you think it was pathetic?

In other news, i've started getting into Ozzy due to Alter Bridge covering Crazy Train really, really well.

houses_of_holy 08-23-2005 02:23 PM
What do you think the behaviour of the Sabbath crew at Ozzfest was like? Even though your Sabbath fans do you think it was pathetic?
I thought it was pretty lame but i hope that nobody from sabbath were involved, i bet this whole incident will just bring ozzy's and sabbath's name down with it.

dr._feelgood 08-23-2005 07:49 PM

Uggh I know what you mean, this is all Sharon's fault. She's been ruining Ozzy's reputation for a while and this is the last straw.

*Grabs torch and pitchfork and storms to wherever Sharon is.

It's all really stupid. I like Sabbath more than Maiden, but I think Maiden handled it pretty well. And anyway, it's not like Geezer and Iommi and Bill Ward or even Ozzy were having people do that. Just some other idiots.

rippa32 08-24-2005 12:23 AM

Ive said it before(mabe not in here) but ill say it again. I hate Sharon, everyone says to me that Ozzy sold out, but he didnt, sharon sold him out, and gave Kelly a record deal, now who the **** does that?

lightningmetal666 08-24-2005 12:28 AM

I don't see what the problem is all about. Sharon has always been pretty mouthy.
Like the time that some tabloid was talking a bunch of crap about her family and she cursed them up one side and down the other.

Kinda funny, after she stormed out of the room, she came back a few minutes later 'cuz she forgot her purse.

rippa32 08-24-2005 12:44 AM

I just dont like her, she seems nice enough I suppose but it's just what she did to Ozzy I don't like. Not as bad as what Courtney did to Kurt I suppose.
