Aw I haven't played Risk in so long... and I really want to play the new Zelda too. Man!

I had a really good weekend... marching band is just about over with so I might actually have a semblance of a life now!

Mark my words, the Wii will be mediocre.

A ton of crappy third party games that wont implement their new gimmick well, but everyone will love it because it'll have a Zelda and Mario game.

That kind of seems to be what Nintendo is famous for.

A few pretty good games scattered amongst a hundred awful ones.

Which is totally not worth all the fellatio they get.

I hope that the ps3 isn't the game cube of the third generation stuff. I realllly hope. RPG fans everywhere will shed a tear.

Zelda rocks, and Wii Sports is a good game for something free. I'm wondering where Wii Orchestra went, and of course Mario will be great. Metroid will be interesting, and COD3 seems decent as well.

And online Super Smash Brothers.

Monkey Ball looks fun as well.

I hope Wii comes out with some good RPGs like Tales of Symphonia and Baten Kaitos.

Wii Orchestra had no real gameplay.

COD3 is on all the systems so it doesn't count.

Super Smash Bros is one of Zelda/Mario/Metroid Prime games that I was talking about as literally the only reason why people like nintendo so much.

Monkey Ball will have, if I'm not mistaken, literally fifteen minutes worth of gameplay.

I think you just accidently reffered to Tales Of Symphonia as good RPG. Baten Kaitos is a card game. Not a good RPG.

RPGs were never suited for nintedo's fanbase.

Wii sports is great with others. I really enjoy tennis since I actually play that, and bowling is great as well.

I still would have loved to try orchestra out anyways.

Still, it's different than its HD companions.

Aren't the first party games supposed to be the ones that get the most hype anyways?

Hmm, it'll be a good rent for parties and such I think. Just for the mini games.

The ps3, although the lack luster reviews for launch titles and backwards compatibility issues kinda **** that up.

I'll probably wait until it's a solid hundred dollars less and then buy the basic one (with a 20g hard drive, the 600 dollar 60g hard drive one is a pointless way to make people spend more money).

360 is nice, but lack of variety in gaming annoys me.

Nintendo is always good on paper, but they never use their gimmicks well and it ends up sucking instead of those four golden games.

Exclusive games on only one system are almost always the best, that's what you mean. ONLY games made by nintendo for nintendo are decent, if that.

Wow, I'm looking at the Wii's launch titles. That's by far the worst launch release I've ever seen.

PS3 looks really nice yeah, but I don't have the cash for it.

The Wii got me broke, so I highly doubt I'll get a PS3 or even a 360.

I'm thinking within a year or so, better games will have come out for the Wii that implement the controls better.

PS3 is a huge waste of money, and here's why:
They cost tons of money because of all the money spent developing top of the line capability hardware.

The problem is, no software is currently out to utilize these amazing capabilities, so it will take awhile for the software to fully utilize the system.

In the meantime, a machine that performs the same will be released for half the price easily competing with the PS3. Thus the PS3 will begin to come obsolete and a PS4 will have to be designed.

For instance, I could probably go play a PS2 for less than 50 right now. Is the PS3 12 times better? Maybe, but not when half of the capabilities won't be utilized for years, and once they are, other consoles will have integrated them.

A refurbished ps2 costs 100 dollars at the list. Believe me, I just bought one. I searched a few weeks for deals, too.

I don't have the mexican underground connections, though.

Ps3 can't use it's full potential right now...no. But really it took a game like FFX, which came out a full year or two after the ps2 came out for some to really utilize the system's potential.

And even with 1/3 or 3/4 of the potential of the ps3, it'd be way better than anything the other two systems have to offer.

Well, it is better in certain aspects, and worse in others. The gyroscopes in PS3 were more of an afterthought whiel with the Wii they were a primary development.

But the thing is PS3 ius stocked full of the technology of the future, and most of it won't be usable commercially for some time. And any given game won't use nearly all of it.

The half price thing is a simple market standard. Technology drops about 1/2 price in the first 18 months after development. I forget the name of that law :-\

I needed a new ps2 because the drives that played disks in mine literally stopped working. I'm not going to buy an old crappy ps2 on ebay and get the same problem.

PS3s on Ebay have gone down in price significantly. Only about 2x the price instead of 5+x
