He liked ot think he was. Even though the rest of us where playing liek an equal field. If us four decided on a song, he didnt like it, he'd go off on one and practicaly forced us to change.

I just remember us 4 plays Hysteria by muse, and he couldnt play it, he sat in the corner sulking.

haha. nah im not that band, like if someone writes a song we'll play it. But just sometimes in my head i have an idea of what this song i wrote sounds like and i give it to our guitarist and he plays it different, e.g like in 1 of our songs theres like 2 breakdowns where i was thinking it would be cool if he did some kind of like syncopated solo or something, but when he put it into practice he just ended up putting chords on top of it, and that angers me sometimes. You dont get anything in life i guess.

Does he ever say gay stuff like when you quit, that he owns the rights to this or that song? Haha when i was like in year 9, when my 1st band split up, we where fighting who could take what song, they were all appalling tho.

Nah, we never got around to righting songs.

Well our singer wrote crap load of lryics, but we wasnt around long enough to put music to them.

The gigs we plays we just did a few covers.

I hate writing lyrics before music, it just makes it so much more difficult and your kinda forced into writing music for it and it might not be as good as it could be. Our band have only done 4 songs at the moment, and weve only just started writing lyrics, nothing clever or sophiscated like most bands seem to be doing nowadays. We just write songs about my girlfriends dad and the roundabout near my house :thumb: were playing at bad bloods birthday do on friday!

I cant write any type of lyrics to save my life.

I can right music alright, i can come up with nice little bass and guitar riffs when i want to.

Youve got to have 1 of those days eh? i want to write like a drum and bass song, but im lacking ideas, got any tips or anywhere where i can take influence from?

Muse is always good for basslines, Dom isnt bad on drums either.

I agree that Muse are amazing in all musical departments. Matt Bellamy especially is such a beast on piano, guitar and vocals. Chris and Dom are great too.

On the subject of writing lyrics : I can write your stereotypical pop punk lyrics really easily, but I never settle for them. I like to write lyrics that are romantic, but also very well written, like Jimmy Eat World. Although some of the songs I've written have been very angry/aggressive, with some sarcasm and irony in the lyrics, which I love doing. I have recently had a writers block though. :(

NP : Brand New - Guernica. I am starting to listen to Brand New again lots, and I remember why I used to rate them as the best band in the world.

Ive been trying to get back into brand new, like listening to them on the MP3 in college and stuff, but i just cant get back into them.

Where as, im huge on the ordinary boys, agian.
