Yay, our camping plans are final. We already booked the campsites, and we're getting food and such tomorrow, if not tonight. We still have 48 hotdogs left over from last time we went camping. We bought a pack of 96 for dirt cheap, how could we resist?

It's going to be freezing at nighttime. Lately we've been getting temps hovering right above 0 degrees at night, that's gonna be a treat to sleep in...

Ming-a-Ling 09-18-2006 06:52 PM

I saw Stanton Moore last night. It was hands down, the best show I have ever been to. They played for like 2 and a half hours, and only stopped because the club was closing. Watching that guy play is unreal! He didn't have his big red kit though. He had a green sparkly one. It was the same kit, sans the larger bass drum. Papa Mali and Ivan Neville joined for a few songs.

Win A Rabbit 09-18-2006 07:00 PM

So I'm thinking. At both HMV's, during my "interview", I already lied to both stores. They asked the last 3 cd's I bought, but since the last ones I bought were a couple independant local bands half a year ago, I just listed off some of my favorite cd's.

Looks like I'm off to a good start.

I'm in a terrible mood.

Why is it that I'm extremely calm 98% of the time, but when it's extremely inconvenient not to be, I lose it? At the moment I'm faced with an argument from somebody close to me, I jump at their throat. When somebody I don't know so well says something, I shrug my shoulders and leave.

I already have one....?

Aaron 09-18-2006 07:36 PM

Well, make it bigger! I keep tripping over the bastard in my room. Is that a reasonable price for it? I bought it new last novemember, and as soon as I bought it stopped gigging. No gig since then. lol.

We_Love_Lime 09-18-2006 07:38 PM

Haha
that sucks.

I don't ignore anyone on msn, at least not on purpose. What's your msn name? I may have left the window or something and then left.

It's probably just time zone confusion.
Most of the other places won't pay you what places like Sears and grocery stores would pay you.

You must strive to make as much money as possible. An hour is a good amount of time (there are only 24 in a day, most people sleep for 8) and you might as well get paid as much as you can for it.

If you do all of what you said and look like trash, you have no chance at all. But if you do all of what you said and have a professional image you'll be ahead of most of the competition.

Weird unconventional multi-colored haircuts are not professional and will ultimately hold you back.
I applied to two grocery stores when I was looking for a job, and neither of them paid as much as my job right now.

Yeah, if you're gonna be working an office job or something 'professional,' you might lose face if you have unconventional hair. Working for Subway is not exactly in that category, especially at this age.

Plus, she was probably fat. Her cyber pants would have done nothing for your physique.

it was a dumb mistake on my part, had nothing to do with my job performance. I scheduled my vacation from the 9th to the 16th, as my mom told me. The problem was, it started the 8th, and I did not know this until it was too late. Instead of telling somebody about it, I planned on calling in sick from the hotel the morning of the 8th. Well, in order to do that I would of have to tell someone in my family, or else they'd be wondering who I'm calling (and I don't normally call people from home, so from vacation is out of the question), and I knew my mom would bitch me out for one reason or another why this had happened (and she wouldn't accept the fact that it was her fault).

So, I didn't call in sick, I get back, I told one of my managers the story. He was awesome, and gave me advice on an 'alternate' story that wouldn't exactly be lying but it would put me in a much better light. The other two managers wanted to keep me, but the main one realized that the 'alternate' story didn't quite fit with what really happened (seeing as he asked me to work earlier on the 8th the day before, my last actual work day). Then corperate Human Resources called in and had me terminated.

It was such a good job though, a little above min wage, 2 miles away, it couldn't be better for a first job. Now I'm gonna have to go job hunting again, and I hate that. I need my home studio!
