The Psychadelic Sounds of the 13th Floor Elevators
If you could upload this eventually it would be great. I already have Easter Everywhere and Bull of the Woods.

JonG 11-25-2005 09:29 PM

I have that.. you want me to upload it?

zabbit82 11-25-2005 09:31 PM
I read/skimmed an article/interview on that. It didn't quite capture my interest because I'm not so wild about the Crue.
I did as well. It was a Gutiar World issue a while ago with Jimmy Page on the cover :). I read part of it and Mick said he started as a blues guitarist but was forced into the glam metal stuff when he moved to LA.

Are you sure it wasn't Hendrix? It had a fascinating Dark Side article within.

Are you also StreetLightRock?

Doesn't he have your old avatar?

:x

Dr. John tomorrow oshi.

StreetlightRock 11-25-2005 09:44 PM
No, his illness has pretty much limited his do anything. He's the only band member not to take on any outside projects. He does have a few solo guitar pieces dotted through the albums, including the stunning 'Bittersuite' on Quaternary.
Aw... I'll give that song a listen, i havnt heard it, although Mick Mars is definately one of the most underrated guitarists ever.

^ Dude, i was DVG, and i can't stand that name anymore. 's what you get for signing up by hiting 3 random letters on the keyboard.

No, but that does resemble my old Chris Squier avatar.
Wow, that's confusing.
Yeah, I don't really know what he was getting at, but he is not me

JonG 11-25-2005 09:58 PM

StreetlightRock 11-25-2005 09:59 PM
DVG \m/

Also I'm having a horrid time procuring the new Izzy Stradlin CD. :(

I can upload Bittersuite for you if you give me your email
Wow. You read my mind I was going to ask for that album from you, because I've never heard anything from those guys.

JonG 11-25-2005 10:04 PM

Heh.

I'm bored.

Jacaranda 11-25-2005 10:06 PM

Oh shiz how you get that on your computer?

Wow, Spat Out Plath... your a girl? I thought you were just a really gay guy... (I thought Morrissey was a boy too, until about a month or two ago.) My MX beliefs are being shattered.

EDIT: Well it seems I was right... :P

temporary 11-25-2005 10:06 PM

Hm, GnR talk. In my view, Civil War is the shit, but the rest of the bands stuff is far from good ('cept Sweet Child 'O Mine and November Rain.) Does anyone know if Axl actually meant the line Sweet Child 'O Mine to be a referance to the line Sweet child in time?

I'm preparing to be shuned, as I voted Cedric in the poll, instead of Gregg.

You have a folder called Gumbo?

Krabsworth 11-25-2005 10:08 PM

health>Motley Crue

Jacaranda 11-25-2005 10:09 PM

And for the record I love GnR. I've got nothing but compliments about them.

That goes for Glam in general, I'm just not overally Glam like those Glam Rock kids in the Glam thread. :P

NP: Jeff Beck-You Never Know

This song is on There and back which I had never heard of before today, but it's really good so far.

EDIT: Fuck, why didn't anyone tell me I got 7,000 posts? Now I have to go find it and edit in big orange letters.

Oh, whoops, that's the one you're sending out right? If so, when?

jpj - 3 avatars in 5 minutes

temporary 11-25-2005 10:26 PM
Nah, it's not related. I'm sure I could fix you up with more tracks you might like, if you want. A lot of the later stuff is like Civil War, November Rain type stuff.
Yeah, that would be cool, I haven't heard much besides Appetite for Destruction and the Use Your Allusions. Shame that they're not related, Child in Time>Life.

I'm just trying to find the best picture of Jeff Beck.

I'm changing it again right now.

EDIT: Damnit, this picture is the coolest, but it's too small.

Krabsworth 11-25-2005 10:41 PM

I think I'll keep my Groucho Marx avatar
