I only spotted it because I hate 4/4 felt as 4 + 4, I really have to fight the urge to move off the 4 + 4 when playing with my band. It takes ALOT of effort, 4 + 4 is so boring at times:(

Going back a few pages:

IMO musicianforums(D&P) blow donkey balls... houseofdrumming has really good drummers... just thats a REALLY small community and drummerworld has the best well rounded forum even though it gets crowded by a lot of beginners.

You guys have some sweet fights/flaming/insulting/retarded threads though, thats basically why ive been coming here the past 5 years... and you guys have a COUPLE of knowledge able(sp?) members.
You guys beat the PDF if that means anything...

I started playing Runescape again..It's fun.I just got full rune and did Dragon Slayer..

Her last memory was sitting on the bridge staring at the viewscreen and absently wondering how many dimes would fit up Tuvok’s nasal passages.

She frowned. All of her previous words had now fallen, bathing the whiteness in silence.

“Janeway!” She shouted and watched as groovy purple bubble letters sprang from the milky floor and shot in the air nearly twenty feet before crashing back down to the left of her.

“Poontang!” Just to the left of F[B]U[/B]CK the letters exploded into existence with a fantastic smattering of confetti.

“Albuquerque!!”

A large yellow ALB wooshed past her followed by a long pause. Kathryn waited expectantly. KERCKY? fell out of the sky and landed next to the pervious offerings.

She laughed.

The sky rumbled and ALBEQUIRKY?! was vomited sideways from the letter J.

She couldn’t control the bombastic gut laughter. The sky shook and birthed ALBYKURKY?!?!?! in big puce cursive letters. Kathryn was shaking so hard with laughter that she fell sideways out of the S and was promptly flatted with the golden U of STFU, BITCH.

i read it... i thought it was funny... although i think i missed something... why are there purple bubble letters spelling out everything she says? i know anthony kiedis said that happened to him one time in his book he wrote but he was on acid at the time...

Kathryn Janeway blinked furiously, looking around the vast emptiness surrounding her, unable to completely comprehend the total lack of everything. Her whole body was numb, her pulse nonexistant, completely unfeeling. Was she dreaming? She thought so. She examined her hands. They were normal enough. She certainly seemed to exist, though she couldn’t figure out why she was entirely nude save a lime green fanny pack fastened around her hips.

She grasped the zipper between her feelingless thumb and forefinger, pulling it quickly back. She blinked down at it for a moment before an ear splitting shriek erupted from deep with in it, sending Kathryn spluttering backwards.

“Jesus Christ!” She screeched as she clumsily yanked the zipper back up. An enormous wooshing sound drew her attention from behind. [I]What the hell is that?[/I] A huge green blur was speeding towards her. Something far at the back of her mind was screaming at her to run, but she stood lamely transfixed for a few moments before the blur smacked into her face, sending her sprawling over the whiteness.

“F[B]u[/B]ck!!!” She wailed, cupping her nose. Blinking the blood away, she dimly realized that it didn’t hurt.[I] Awesome. I’m freakin’ invincible.[/I] Her awe was cut short when another huge wooshing blur was hurtling towards her.

[I]Crap.[/I] She scrambled forward, but not quickly enough as the huge neon blue mass slammed her against the large green one. [I]What the f[B]u[/B]ck is this!? [/I]She dislodged herself from between them and stumbled forward.

“What the…” she spoke before realizing. Splayed in front of her in massive block letters were her previous words. She sprinted to her left trying to avoid the letters falling from the sky. She managed to escape WHAT but was crushed under the corner of THE.

She was stunned for a moment. The whiteness was gone, replaced by dank, gooey darkness. She shouted, but heard nothing. She tried to move her arms, but realized her arms weren’t there. Nothing was there.

[I]Sh[B]i[/B]t.[/I] She thought over the possibilities for a moment before deciding to scream and thrash around wildly, hoping for the best. There was a loud sucking noise, followed by a great pop. Kathryn was immersed in whiteness again, but this time it was thick and mucousy. She swept her newly found arms through the thickness, swimming what she assumed was upwards.

Her head broke the thin surface, and she was facing the huge green S at the end of Jesus. She pulled herself out of the pool, running her hands over her body. She still couldn’t feel anything, but the circumference of her anus seemed oddly large.

She blinked. [I]No…[/I] She wiped her cheek with her fingers, dismayed to find strips of blackish brown fluid stuck to them. [I]No, no, no. That’s impossible.[/I] She cautiously brought her fingers to her nose and took a great whiff.

“Oh God!” She gagged at the stench. “F[B]u[/B]cking A! That did NOT happen!”

thats why i said it was the BEST well rounded forum... but it does get crowded with a lot of drummers(more so intermadiate/beginner). Yea, the pros is real is Best part of the forum even though houseofdrumming has similar pros too like Gary Husband, Gavin Harrison etc.

I have a 14" Piglite acryllic snare drum and i saw a code written on the inside of the shell and was curious if there was a guide to find out when it was created. Anybody know of a site like that?

maybe you can go to the manufacturer's website or call them and ask them if they can look it up by the code or something... if it's old then i doubt they can but it's worth a shot

hey i just thought of something... why don't hihats have cymbal sleeves for your top hats... cymbals are supposed to touch metal... so why do they give you sleeves for every cymbal but your hihats... that makes no sense... now i'm paranoid my hihats are gonna crack on me... i don't want that to happen... they're only b8s but i really like them considering i only paid 15 bucks for them way back when i bought them after trading in an old cymbal

nah... i like mine... i'm just wondering why nobody thought to put a sleeve on the hihat stand... plus i can't afford new ones... all the good hihats are fairly expensive and my budget right now is free and under :smash:

edit: cymbal sleeves are the little rubber/plastic things you put in between a cymbal and the metal part of the stand so the cymbal doesn't come in contact with hard metal, because that will cause cracking and keyholing around the center of the cymbal where it's mounted on the stand

if you don't have them on your stands, get them... they're not even a dollar each and if you don't have them there is a good chance you will damage your cymbals

That is a good question although I have never seen a set of hats with a cracked bell so I guess it just was never an issue.

my hi hats dont touch metal other than each other.

unless you have something in between your hihats and the hihat clutch then yea the top hat is touching the clutch... which i know is a bad thing with crashes and rides and splashes and chinas... but why not hihats... i mean i've never seen a cracked bell or anything on a pair of hihats either... it just popped into my head that it doesn't make any sense that they would be the only ones not to have any kind of protection or anything...

Does anyone hae any ideas for a nice 8" or 10" hats combo REALLY bright with lots of swish! I havn't heard any true mini hats I've liked all that much, so anyone know any good cymbal combos to get a good sound?:D thanks

i have an idea... take a medium splash and a medium heavy splash (both 8" or 10"), both of which you really like, and put them on top of each other
