? explain?

Drum Phil 02-26-2008 01:33 PM
i love the fact that when you buy hardware, the company always throws drum keys your way

bought my double pedal, theres a key in the base plate. New hi-hat (same day), get a key.

New Rack, comes with a key.

i imagine my new kit will come with one too :p
Thats alright, the shop i buy my hardware from throws keys in as well. So my rack and hat stands came with 6 keys :| I keep losing them though so its ok.

I appear to have:

3 Pearl ones
4 No-name
2 Sonor
1 Mapex

I lost my yamaha drum tool though :(

bobby__johnny 02-26-2008 01:36 PM

i have mostly no name keys...probably 5 or 6.

and then i have the pearl key with my rack....has a bigger grip surface. much more comfy.

Drum Phil 02-26-2008 01:39 PM

My sonor ones are massive. Ones L Shape with a split key and a standard drum key, ones got a weird semi circle grip.

田中さんは私のすしをなげる。

時々、日本語のクラスがすきですよ。

oliv_da_skinmasher 02-26-2008 01:58 PM

????

Sunshine 02-26-2008 02:02 PM

"Tanakasan threw my sushi.

Sometimes, I really like my Japanese class."

We were learning particles today.
She wrote "tanakasan" "watashi [I/my/whatever]" and "sushi" on the board, and told us to put in appropriate particles ["postpositions"] and a verb to make a sentence.
At first we were all, y'know, "Me and tanakasan ate sushi," or "Tanakasan ate my sushi" or everything involving the verb to eat, so she told us to use a different one.
I used "threw."

oliv_da_skinmasher 02-26-2008 02:05 PM

Ah cool. All i got was those lil squares cause I aint got japanese on here lol

Sunshine 02-26-2008 02:11 PM

Awww, lame.
Even before I could type, it would at least let me view it..
Vista comes pre-installed with all the scripts and things, just gotta enable them.

_Wrathchild_ 02-26-2008 02:16 PM

Awwww yeah

Drum Phil 02-26-2008 02:16 PM

I just get question marks.

Weird.

oliv_da_skinmasher 02-26-2008 02:16 PM

I dont want vista tho. Too much music gear that would become redundant

Sunshine 02-26-2008 02:18 PM

Eh.
Vista came with my laptop, which my parents bought me as a graduation/going to college present.
Not complaining much.

These girls on myspace that added me once actually do harp duet Metallica covers. It was kind of cool.

For the record, I put that flag up years ago and am no longer obsessed with Metallica. Although I don't dislike them now either.
Yeah i hate vista with a passion.
Its kind of sad to passionately hate an OS.
Why?

Sunshine 02-26-2008 02:26 PM

Static 02-26-2008 02:26 PM

yes

_Wrathchild_ 02-26-2008 02:27 PM

You could buy a harp instead >_>

I chose buying a harp over a car. Although I might still be able to afford a car this summer now that I'm teaching more students.

oliv_da_skinmasher 02-26-2008 02:28 PM
Haha, everyone'd slow down and get outta your way.
Yeah I mean dispite the fact our police cars look like this

Not all the same car but paint job is pretty much

Sunshine 02-26-2008 02:31 PM

Oh God.
Ew.
I'm sorry.

oliv_da_skinmasher 02-26-2008 02:39 PM

I know. At least they're easy to run away from

Win A Rabbit 02-26-2008 02:40 PM

our police cars are impossible to pick out of a crowd at first glance if they don't have their lights on.

there's been a couple times where i'll j-walk and as i'm crossing i'll look behind to see how close the cars coming up are, and the closest one is a police car.

i've never got a ticket though. thank god. j-walking tickets are the stupidest thing.

Sunshine 02-26-2008 02:42 PM

Haha, I don't even think J-walking really counts as illegal in most of St. Louis, since pretty much everywhere you go is a college campus and I don't think cops get pissy about walking across the street on campuses.

But ugh, it's awful, they're getting brand new police cars, and I can't pick 'em out at night or in the distance anymore. I'm so used to looking for Crown Victorias or whatever the old, "movie" cop car was. All these new cars are freakin' me out.

oliv_da_skinmasher 02-26-2008 02:42 PM

I mean how can you miss ours

TimJim 02-26-2008 02:44 PM

wazzup

Sunshine 02-26-2008 02:46 PM
I mean how can you miss ours
Haha, see.
It sucks because cop car colors vary from state to state and county to county, too.
But they're always either white with some style of writing on the side, or black with some style of writing on the side.
Never bright colors, never yellow [that I've seen].

Oh, and cop SUVs can just go suck a big one.

Drum Phil 02-26-2008 02:47 PM

Our cop cars have the same "paint job" as "Indie" kids

Actually, the cops up here have started using pimped out imprezzas on the motorways.

Sunshine 02-26-2008 02:48 PM

Indie kids wear bright colors?!

_Wrathchild_ 02-26-2008 02:48 PM

Yeah canadian cop cars are hard to notice until they're already too close. Out on the highway, there's no way you could tell a cop car from a regular white car until its really close, so if I'm in a hurry and I'm speeding, I get paranoid about every white car i see in the distance :(

Drum Phil 02-26-2008 02:49 PM
Indie kids wear bright colors?!
I was reffering to make up. And as an example, this is the first thing that came up in google image search.
