Anyone else think Kirk Hammett is an over-rated guitarist?

Only the whole guitar forum.

Spaceman Spiff 11-05-2006 03:54 PM

That's because anyone who plays guitar is better than everyone else who plays guitar.

Instead of putting a scrunchie on my neck to be used as a mute, i use this red bandana and i kinda forgot to take it off one day...never had that many gansters stare at me before.

Well, what areas in Toronto do you know? Give me an idea of places you're familiar with and I'll try and tell you where I am in relation to those spots.

How about Yonge and 401. About a minute South of 401, West of Yonge.

No, but his value lies in his originality, so no sense in copying him.

Pluperfect_Arson 11-05-2006 04:18 PM

So, for those who care, I took the job over at Hollister instead of A&F. Hollister pays more for me doing actual work, and, at A&F, I would be paid minimum wage to stand around and look pretty.

That is all.

Who else likes broccoli?

I think it's pretty tasty.

A cup of steamed broccoli contains more calcium than a cup of milk.

I've been known as the master of a few different arts: vagueness (you're not the first to point it out), awkwardness, and randomness.

Unfortunately music isn't an art I'm a master of. :upset:

d00d, I bet I could destroy you at being awkward and random.

I include way too many details to be vague, though. :upset:

You stole somebody else's action before I stole your "action."

It is a cycle that shall be continued over and over.

Certain people are dicks and when there's an awkward silence in a conversation they'll say, "Awkward silence..." in THAT tone to try and get a little laugh, despite making it that much more awkward. I hate that person, so I pull it off in a much better way to put it all on me, Mr. Awkward (:p), "Speaking of awkward silences, what do you say to someone you want to talk to when you don't know what to say? It's not that there's nothing to be said, you just don't know what to say."

It sort of relieves the awkwardness for the other person, but places it all on me.

Pfft! Don't take the hit for the crowd of people. I would just destroy everyone.

I know what you mean, though. There is always that one person who goes "awwwwwwkwarrrrrrrrrd..." I am somewhat silent, though, and I would never think to say that. :p

That was looks better because the dots form more of right triangle, and the look of it is, overall, superior to yours.

I'll usually only bust mine out if I'm talking to one person and the silence comes up, not a big group.

Though I've been thinking, what would be better, to break an awkward silence in a bigger group, than just letting out the most blood curdling scream you could? I think that would be awesome... I might have to try it out sometime. :D

I would go with the scream just because I can actually scream like a girl who has just been stabbed. :upset:

Tomorrow night I get to be awkward, too. I'm going to see The Decemberists by myself... I always feel weird going to concerts alone. :(

Pluperfect_Arson 11-05-2006 05:07 PM

Going to shows alone suuuuuuucks. I always feel so out of place and awkward. I mean, I know everyone and their mother that is at the show, but I am not extremely good friends with them, so it is just kind of "meh."

Akira 11-05-2006 05:09 PM

I actually don't mind seeing shows alone. In a group I feel like I have to make an effort to stay with the group.

I don't, but, if they are there, it just makes me feel better or something. :amaze:

Anyway, I am out for a while.

I have to go to the Abercrombie orientation at 6, and then tell them I took the job at Hollister.

Bye, everyone!
