Left Shoe 09-12-2004 04:37 PM

meh hopefully they will mature and make better forum members , but think back to when you first were here

Lay_Down_The_Groove 09-12-2004 04:41 PM

ya i guess i have only ever made 3 threads or 4

Left Shoe 09-12-2004 04:49 PM

me h there are two types of people when they come to a forum , people who are queit and only respond to a thread when they have somethign relevant to say (then afte a few weeks they evolve) then there just dumb who comes in and makes threads like people actualyl care.

Lay_Down_The_Groove 09-12-2004 04:58 PM

well i wasn't that bad on this file cause i kinda just replied occasionally on my old file mainly just read then i made this one

LowExpectations 09-12-2004 04:58 PM

Heh, I only make a thread when I think it's a good idea...the Bass Porno one was really popular, I got like 300 posts in it. *sniff* I'm so proud of the little guy.

Yeah ... I'm pretty sure that I really suck at making quality threads.

I don't know. Your "made a new song" threads are pretty spiffy.

PaulSimonon 09-12-2004 05:39 PM

I"m back from my break from MX... Hey all!

Left Shoe 09-12-2004 05:39 PM

hey whered you go?

PaulSimonon 09-12-2004 05:43 PM

Church retreat.... It was fun, but I would rather stay home, although it was a welcome relief from the monotony of life.

Left Shoe 09-12-2004 05:44 PM

you take your bass with you?

e p 09-12-2004 05:44 PM

Hey guys.

Hey Paul welcome back.

I just got back from a little adventure involving a family owned boat, different harbors to place it in, and an empty gas tank.

:thumb:

I'll have my FA up soon.

PaulSimonon 09-12-2004 05:45 PM

no.... I will next time because I'm in the chuch band.... I tried to bum an acoustic guitar off of a kid, but he wouldn't let me, so I went into withdrawal..

Left Shoe 09-12-2004 05:46 PM

ah that mustve been terrible

PaulSimonon 09-12-2004 05:49 PM
ah that mustve been terrible
It wasn't as bad as when I left it for two weeks.... my hands were twitching out rythms after the 5th day....

Hurry up with your story EP......

LowExpectations 09-12-2004 05:50 PM

Ugh, I ****ing hate how christianity does **** sometimes. My least favorite quote...: "So I got (insert name here) to watch the Passion of Christ DVD, and now they believe!"

It makes me ****ing sick how such a sick movie can be so revered... That says something horrible about the methods of so many parts of christianity.

I also wonder when people will figure out how many thousands of people walked the same path to crucifixion, and how many deaths were just as brutal and torturous. Hey, lets make half the tortured in Europe the base for a religion, and then lets brag about it!

I have nothing against religion in general, but **** like that just sickens me.

Left Shoe 09-12-2004 05:52 PM

alot of religions have done some pretty bad things , the passion of the christ is just the most recent errible thing so yeh. i saw only the gory part where hes going up on the cross at this local club i go to , for some reason they were showing it.

PaulSimonon 09-12-2004 05:53 PM

I disliked The Passion.... And I fell asleep in it.....

LowExpectations 09-12-2004 05:56 PM

It's not exclusively the movie that bothers me, it's the manipulation of the movie and people's minds. Conversion to a religion should be voluntary, not the product of manipulation.

e p 09-12-2004 05:57 PM

Like South Park said so well.."We shouldn't have to have some movie about someone sufferings to turn us to religion. We should look to thee good things and not the bad."

I belive it was Stan.

risbo 09-12-2004 05:57 PM
no.... I will next time because I'm in the chuch band.... I tried to bum an acoustic guitar off of a kid, but he wouldn't let me, so I went into withdrawal..
Ouch. I went the weekend without my good bass because it was at our drummers house and I thought I had it bad.

PaulSimonon 09-12-2004 05:57 PM
It's not the movie that bothers me, it's the manipulation of the movie and people's minds. Conversion to a religion should be voluntary, not the product of manipulation.
which is one of the reasons I didn't like it

Left Shoe 09-12-2004 05:57 PM

evn that statement cant really happen , you kidna go into the religion your parents take for a long time , like im a confirmed catholic , but im an atheist. so you follow your parents and your parents follow their region , (this is not racist) lkike if you lived in the middle east you have a higher chance of being muslim

Rollo47 09-12-2004 05:58 PM

I hate Mondays.

risbo 09-12-2004 05:59 PM

Everyone should be exposed to more religions as a child but then according to the parents their son/daughter will be going to hell. And most parents don't want that.

risbo 09-12-2004 06:00 PM
I hate Mondays.
I...it's sunday...

Edit: or... where do you live?

e p 09-12-2004 06:01 PM

I believe that no one religion is right nor wrong, because if that were true we would all either be in "hell" or "nirvana".

Just life a good life, be peaceful, and good things will come.

risbo 09-12-2004 06:05 PM

To e_p

But even if both of those religions were right then there would still be people in hell/re-incarnated as an animal. I don't get your post...

Bass+Fingers+Amp=Groove 09-12-2004 06:05 PM

31 pages? Thats record for what 3 days this casual thread has been running?

LowExpectations 09-12-2004 06:07 PM

Lol, I dunno about followin your parents religion so much...Sure there's a greater probability, but it's more on lifestyle than location and parents. The most agressive athiest I know is Polish and has Catholic parents...you know the Polish and their Catholic ferver...

PaulSimonon 09-12-2004 06:08 PM

And I haven't been posting much in it either....

No. Not if they were all correct, because they are contradict each other in same way. In a sense religion is a form of beliefs, meaning atheists, who believe there is no God, actually ahve a religion. Theyre all contradictory. Go to the Politics Forum. The religious debates are very interesting.

I hate organized religion and forced religion. Just live a good life and all will work out.

risbo 09-12-2004 06:14 PM

I read the politics forum whenever I'm not in the bass forum. The irrationality of atheism rationaly speakingsmy favorite. I've got not beef against oraganised religion as long as it makes peoples lives better. But the anger some of them cause... I don't like.
