I don't quality for the jobs, though. They're all upper level HRM stuff.

Efrim 08-10-2009 03:44 PM

Shame. In that case, the French Connection #2 or the Beautiful tastes like oranges. Which is surprising, cause it's just Grand Marnier and Cognac, both of which are 80 proof.

FunkMetalBass 08-10-2009 03:49 PM

I made skittle vodka the other night, and it's definitely a new party shot. Still about 60 proof once all is said an done and it tastes like skittles.

Delicious.

Efrim 08-10-2009 03:54 PM

I think I would hate that.

Spaceman Spiff 08-10-2009 03:55 PM

I stayed up drinking until 7AM the other night. I started at about 8:15PM. It was a long night.

If somebody buys you bottom-shelf liquor, you improvise.

If somebody buys you top-shelf liquor and you're bored, you improvise.

If you like Skittles, you improvise.

I wouldn't do it with my Belvedere vodka, because I really enjoy the taste of that. I wouldn't do it with actual Grey Goose either.

I might consider throwing a Skittle-themed party and using the Kirkland brand vodka (tastes nearly identical to Grey Goose, but at less than half the price). $5 a head and I'll make enough to pay for a bottle of Patron Platinum for myself. Yummy.

I taught myself how to drink straight vodka of all varieties for just such an occasion. Its not a good liquor in my books anyway.

Spaceman Spiff 08-10-2009 04:04 PM

I just hate the taste of vodka. It's extremely unpleasant. Most other liquors are fair game, though: gin, whiskey, rum, even some tequila from time to time to mix it up.

There is definitely something fishy about a liquor that is intended to have no taste. I haven't bought vodka since I was 15 because it just isn't pleasant.

BenJammin 08-10-2009 04:10 PM

Tequila is the devil.

Spaceman Spiff 08-10-2009 04:14 PM

I'll never drink just tequila when getting drunk, but I like doing a few shots every once in a while.

I've never been one to worry about mixing beer and liquor...

It's a starch-based alcohol, not grain-based, which is why the flavor and color are transparent. I'm guessing it was designed in that fashion so that Russian soldiers could drink during the day without smelling of alcohol and it's clear to give the impression that it's simply water. "It's a theory. It's probably wrong."
Tequila is the devil.
It's just another liquor, but it's not nearly versatile enough for my tastes. I can't drink it with anything other than a cerveza and while eating Mexican food.

Spaceman Spiff 08-10-2009 04:32 PM

My favorite liquor to drink is probably gin. It used to be, by far, my most hated. I don't know what happened, but I just started drinking it one day and really liked it.

I do enjoy me a nice Tanqueray and tonic. I was quite pleased with BeefEater also. Don't like the Bombai Sapphire though.

I'm with you, though its not my favourite.
There's such a huge variety of gin, and so many flavours in each drink!

I soaked almonds in gin yesterday because I found out that they're one of the ingredients, and it was a pretty neat flavour.

Joe: Vodka can easily be a grain liquor. Its made from a variety of different crops, not just potatoes.

:amaze: 08-10-2009 05:20 PM

gin has always reminded me of the taste of bug spray.

Since when do you farm

funkyhoney 08-10-2009 08:16 PM

I absolutely adore both vodka and gin, what I get for being Lithuanian I guess. I can drink vodka like water, but whiskies knock the absolute crap out of me.

m-dirnt_fan101 08-10-2009 09:43 PM

drinkings bayyad mmkay?

Pluperfect_Arson 08-10-2009 10:38 PM

gaslight 08-10-2009 11:39 PM

I find mixing beer and liquor when I do drink gives the best buzz.

TimJim 08-10-2009 11:40 PM

burtonbassist_102 08-11-2009 03:24 AM
