paul mccartny isent anything special huh? dude try playing baby shes a rich man, 1 after 909, all my loving, and lots more im a guitar player but im in a beatle tribute band and i can tell u that paul mccartney's basslines are way more techinicaly way more catchy way more grounbreaking that anyones of all time by my calculation the stones didnt perform their first gig till 62 hmmm by 62 the beatles already released the please please me album so your saying the stones didnt ride the beatle coatail? jaja hell yes they did, the beatles were a band like all the other in england? jajaja that just got lucky? jaja nah thats just straight up talking out of your *** there were other band like the kinks and the shadows but the beatles put it on the map! to say the stones didnt stray away too far away from the comfort zone is an understatement, fact is that was their bread and butter! the stones are a great band, but they are no beatles, they are neighter as big, as revolutionary or as influential as the beatles there can only be one ''greatest''and that honor goes to john, paul, george and ringo its just that simple

BlackDeathMetalJazz or really ANYTHING else please- 11-20-2005 10:38 AM

^Perhaps you'd like to back that up with more facts and less opinions?
I believe your ">'s" are on backwards.

Or maybe they aren't :upset:
If it's possesive and the thing that is possesing is plural (Which it is, BeatleS), it is s'

On the other hand if it were just George Harrison's ***, it would be 's

EX:
George Harrison's ***
The Beatles' asses

:D

Huh? I think either I'm confused or you are! I was making a poor attempt to call to Stones the greatest again, just a little joke or what not. Because all his ">" were that way I told him to flip um around "<" that way! To show the Stones are the best!
But thanks for the grammar lesson I'm horrible at knowing were to put s' or 's, no joke's.

So...anyway, lets get back to the Beatles. Does anyone else own the Concert for Bangladesh (sp?) on dvd. Its great to see Gearge, Ringo, Clapton, Leon, and Bob Dylan all together in concert. I definately thought it was worth the money

I own it :) Ringo's song is sweet. Did you watch the documentary? Haha it said Eric Clapton didnt show up for any of the rehersals and played perfectley at the show. And also Dylan just walked on stage when he wanted to play.

I'm glad no one had a heart attack over my comment. I was expecting someone to freak out.

blue3 11-20-2005 11:07 PM

It's the internet.

Jacaranda 11-20-2005 11:08 PM

Oh quiet the contrary I freaked out so much I lost control and couldn't even type.
It's the internet.
You'd be amazed. I probably killed a die-hard Beatles fan.

Leper 11-20-2005 11:25 PM

/dies.

Aww I missed all the conversation! That's the most dialog this thread has seen in...ever.

blue3 11-20-2005 11:37 PM

Haha you missed it.

Actually, you didn't miss anything..

Leper 11-20-2005 11:43 PM

I find it funny that the Stones and Beatles always seem to be pitted against each other in some sort of rivalry, meanwhile they were good friends in actuality.

W.M.A 11-20-2005 11:49 PM

probably cos true rock stars like the beatles and stones dont really care what ppl think, and therefore are able to overlook useless comparisons and realise theyre all likeable ppl. besides ne sane person knows with these two giants its all opinion newho.

blue3 11-20-2005 11:53 PM

So, my friend was offered 2000 dollars for her Stones tickets, but she said no.

Leper 11-20-2005 11:54 PM

Ya...I just found it funny..

Leper 11-20-2005 11:57 PM
So, my friend was offered 2000 dollars for her Stones tickets, but she said no.
Shake her hand for me. How much did she pay for them?

blue3 11-21-2005 12:00 AM

Normal price. I'm not sure exactly how much. But, 2000 dollars! I would've taken that offer.. probably cause I'm not that big of a Stones fan anyway.

Paranoidd 11-21-2005 12:03 AM

I would have done the same. $2000 is alot of money if you've ever been broke. The Stones will tour another few times again, haha.

Maybe if I'd seen them before I'd sell them, but you never know how much longer they're going to be around.

NP: Tom Petty- Into the Great Wide Open (I love this song so much)

blue3 11-21-2005 12:06 AM

Well, you could take the money, buy plane tickets and see the Stones somewhere else or something.

Leper 11-21-2005 12:10 AM

What if they're all sold out everywhere (which I imagine they are) and you're left Stones-less?

blue3 11-21-2005 12:12 AM

Buy a ticket from someone.

Leper 11-21-2005 12:15 AM
Buy a ticket from someone.
But what if they want $2000, no less, which you don't have because of the money you spent on the plane ticket..?

blue3 11-21-2005 12:19 AM

Then I won't see the Stones and I'll use the money to buy Beatles action figures.

Seafroggys 11-21-2005 12:24 AM

Yeah I have concert for Bangladesh on video.....It Don't Come Easy is probably at its best at that concert.

Wasn't that the gig where Eric died from an OD or something right before comign on, then was resusitated and went and did the gig.

Leper 11-21-2005 12:25 AM
Then I won't see the Stones and I'll use the money to buy Beatles action figures.
Heh, alright, good answer.

blue3 11-21-2005 12:34 AM
Heh, alright, good answer.
:) ..I actually don't own any action figures of any bands which sucks.

I still need to get 'Concert for Bangladesh'..

yeah, he collapsed right after shooting up, was revived, and then went on to play.

wacky clapton.

I could be wrong, but whenever I watch It Don't Come Easy it seems to me that Ringo losses his place about halfway through the song. He keeps mumbling in tune, but I don't think the words he said were the real lyrics.
